I like Lightning, but it's just the skins are so hard to dress dragons with, and the boots don't look like they'd go with much either. Plus, the best place to farm is the Golem Workshop, and we all know how well that goes. :/

Oh gross I don't like ANY of the Lightning stuff this time around. ;-; Sucks, I was so excited cause Light's festival this year was so good...

And... all the accents/skins look like renditions of the same thing. ._.

Oh, I didn't mean to sound like I was going off at anyone. If it does, I sincerely apologize. It was a general observation since someone on Facebook had made a similar joke. I do suspect Tumblr has a huge hand in it, simply due to the sheer volume and visibility.

I like a few of the skins, but the apparel for this one isn't grabbing me.

So, I made my first Gen One auction thread and my goodness I've had some rude people both in posting and in PMs. I think this is the first and last time I'll be doing this. If I want to sell them from now on, I think I will try and find someone willing to host an auction thread for me or just try my luck on the AH. This has been more stress than it's worth. I may even pull my X/Y/X down for lack of interest. I'm really iffy only selling her for the SB of 200kT and I did post that I had the right to cancel an auction at any time. I don't know... I decided to extend it.

On a happy note though, thank you to the one Petopian who is bidding btw. You're definitely not included in this rant and I hope you win the girl!

Your girlfriend also messaged me, when it's nothing to do with her. Happy now? Atem is going elsewhere, and the apparel and gems are going to waste. I said, if it bothered you, I'd put a note in his bio sharing who he was inspired by. But no. He can't look similar your dragons at all.

Ignore them!! Atem is a BEAUTIFUL dragon, it's such a shame to see him without all his gorgeous apparel on! And how the heck would they know you took inspiration from them? I take inspiration from a few people's lairs all the time. It's perfectly normal. They sound like they're too young for this site if they're going to act like that about it. You should definitely put all his apparel back on the way it was just to spite them. If you get rid of it all, then that means they've won and tells them they can get what they want, they'll probably act like that towards others as well. :/

See, this kind of stuff is what makes me worry all the time about a few of my dragons. Yeah I've taken some inspiration from other's dress ups and accent choices... and I hate that I have to deal with anxiety due to people like the member you encountered Kayro. It's not fun having to worry that some member will message you one day and attack you for copying them, despite the fact that no one can claim they own a specific combination of apparel/colors.

Hell If I found someone with an exact copy of one of my dragons it wouldn't bother me any. If they enjoy the look so much that they would go through the trouble of acquiring everything, then how is it my place to bar them from it?

So this is what you messaged me about. I agree with Snowy. Those two morons can just go fuck themselves. Atem is beautiful and nothing should stop that beauty from shining forth. It's apparent that you love him, so don't let those two dickweeds get you down.

Thanks guys... I know they can't claim the whole idea, since there's only so many options you can have for bits of apparel, (despite there being so much) and I know I'd miss seeing Atem the way he is. It wouldn't be half as bad, if I didn't have one contacting me, only to have another come in on it as well. >.< Still, I'll take your advice. I can't let someone get to me, because every idea is influenced by something in one way or another. Thank you.

I'm glad to see you putting the apparel back on! I mean, everyone gets inspiration from others on the site. I always thought that was part of the fun. O.o I've had one person contact me about a dragon once in a similar fashion. I added a note 'inspired by' and moved on. No one owns copywrite on dragon apparel. Those two need to grow up and get the heck over it. You have every right to apparel your dragon the way you want!

EDIT: Speaking of Egyptian dragons, I've been doing a daily search for a specific color combo that I'm wanting for one and this morning one was hatched with the exact eye color and everything.... But was exalted. WTH. /sigh

Its especially nuts that it's a wolf's pelt + river royalist combo they're bitching about ... I almost did the exact same dress up minus the fur wraps for one of my Egyptian dragons as it's the closest I could get to Anubis. But I don't like how the wolf pelt looks on a PC. Of all the dress ups to scream theft about...

If I were you I would have taken screenies of their messages, blurred out their name except for the first letter and slapped it on Atems web page and posted above it "Don't be this dorkweed" xD But then again.. That might cause more harm than good.

Reminds me of the time I started designing my own thumbnails for my YouTube vids. I actually had someone I had never seen before message me asking me if I copied their idea. I went to their channel and the thumbnails did look relatively similar I admit but they weren't exactly carbon-copies... nor is it exactly an amazing/original concept, lol. People need to get their heads out their asses.

And for my own rant... if my hatchlings are too expensive for you... DON'T BUY THEM?! Perhaps if you asked me *nicely* if I would be willing to lower the price, I could haggle with you, but my hatchlings do sell at the price they're at, thank you very much. Just because you don't like it that way isn't going to change anything! My hatchlings are Gen 2 with popular colours and genes, I make a great deal of my income from them... and they sell at those prices. *shrug*

This current G1 auction I'm bidding on is testing my patience to its very limit. I swear if this person changes the rules of the auction or extends it ONE. MORE. TIME. I'm going to lose my sh*t. :/

The craft coins for festival totally ruined my earnings that i usually have for festival... from my point of view the crafting of coins SUUUUXS!!!

I'm sorry that the crafting ruined profits, but it's a godsend for people like me that don't have access to getting lots of currency through coli and whatnot and don't have the money to buy them off the AH.
