I'm so done with everyone in my family freaking out over the smallest thing. It's not like anxiety- that I'd understand. They just won't tolerate anything even a little bit wrong. EVERYTHING is a big deal. Someone put something away wrong? Quick, let's pin the blame for five minutes then continue ranting about it for ten more. They actually get mad at ME when I suggest they just... move on with their lives and stop obsessing. Take the wrong turn? OH GOD LIFE IS OVER. GPS stops working right? APOCALYPSE HAS STRUCK. Buy the wrong dish soap by mistake? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US.

Just- they're such tiny inconveniences. We'll fix it, whatever, why are we getting all pent up over it now? Why does everything have to be someone's fault? That's the first thing my dad and brother do when something goes wrong- "WHAT IDIOT PUT THIS AWAY WRONG?!". ...Probably you, maybe me, who gives a crap? Is this seriously worth the put-down and anger?

But of course, I can't point that out. They get angry when I mention how constant negativity is a bad thing.

So I'm doing a thing with the animation school I studied at doing work experiance with their students and my god I dunno what is with young people and not doing work. I don't know how high school teachers do it because my god.

Don't complain when I turn your work down, if it's not good enough it's not good enough and I will tell you it's bad. Don't get upset when I say Gimp is not a program you can use. I don't have Gimp nor do I use it and so I want all the work saved in files for programs I have. Hell school has Photoshop! There is no problem! Work in your lunch break you have an hour that's plenty of time to eat and work!

Don't get upset that I give you the boring scenes to do. So it's not fun get over it it's work not a school yard playground. I'm your higher up and I will give you the work I think is good for your skill set and it just so happens that the boring not fun scenes are also the easy ones!

I feel you. I really do. I was a highschool teacher for 3 years and I had many a "classroom lawyer" who liked to tell me their rights and how they couldn't of possibly failed.../facepalm.

I think theres a whole generation of kids that were taught you never fail no matter what. This "everyone's a winner" mentality has really screwed over some people in adulthood. You might get a pat on the head when you got an F on that essay and someone said "its ok you tried so you're a winner!" umm no. You failed. You didn't learn the material so no you didn't win. And you don't get rewarded for substandard work. Hard lessons that I think are hitting this winner generation now when they go out into the world. The generation of self entitlement is another label for it. Getting rewards for doing nothing because you're "owed" it and its not fair if you don't. Sounds exactly what you're having to deal with now.

Stick to your guns. Reality sucks sometimes. Sounds like you're the first adult to teach them this! Good luck :)

It's making me really mad these kids. They think I'm being too harsh on them they have not seen anything yet. People in proper studios are far less caring about your feelings and will tell you if something is horrible or good, pretty or ugly. Last year I was at a animation talk held by some Pixar guys and infront of around 40 odd people they ripped my showreel apart and told me 90% of it was crap and I should start over again. I can tell you he did not care about my feelings

I'm so angry today. I don't know why. Everything is making me really mad.

edit: I think I am going to throw up laughing. My sister just made a facebook post claiming our cats are always "ruining her hard work to keep the house looking nice" when she literally does absoloutly fucking NOTHING at all ever. I'm not even joking. She has to be NAGGED or PAID by mother to do anything. It's pathetic and hilarious that she'd make such a dumbass post just to get attention LOL. God.

I feel like posting rants about this kinda thing about my sister all the time too. I don't know what happened. My mother is so clean and tidy, when my dad lived with us he was so clean and tidy, apparently even as a kid I was still dead clean and tidy and there's... this slob. Her bedroom always reeks of sweat and her dirty clothes are everywhere and... *lurch*

My vertigo is back ... worst part is over now, but OMG these migraines! I'm trying to see a specialist about it. I'm experiencing vertigo every two-to-three months now with it lasting anywhere between three-to-ten days. I just can't continue to live like this anymore!

I think I may lose my job because of it too! I applied and was denied FML recently because HR said I didn't work enough hours to qualify. Well, NO SH*T SHERLOCK! I probably would've qualified but I was sick ... which is why I'm applying for FML in the first place! They even denied me FML so that I can care for my husband who’s on kidney dialysis! WTH!!!

/STRESS!

They're such an obnoxious asshole!! It's a pony forum, a really innocent one that I know has a few younger members, and he's that one freak that posts his pony-porn printouts in the 'show-off your merchandise gets' threads and such. (Not actual porn, but ponies in sexy clothing and in risque poses and that.) And everyone's opinions are wrong to him, he's such a show-off, acts like he's better than everyone else and that his OC is the best thing ever when really it's a generic piece of shit, and omgggggggggggg I really, really hope he gets banned again. He stands out far too much on this forum that's mainly full of kids and females, you know, THE MAIN TARGET AUDIENCE. *rages out*

Also yay, another rant already, thanks you stupid bitch for coming out and making a sandwich and leaving crumbs all over the counter MINUTES after I've JUST wiped the counters down. You can tell we're cleaning the place due to all the cleaning products on the counter and the mop in my fiance's hands, but nope, ignore all this, and just restart the mess already.

Not aimed at you Snowy but it is related in a way and that is: Any adult that claims they are in the target audience for a kids cartoon is wrong in so many ways. If it's kids programing it's aimed at kids. That does not mean you can't enjoy it but don't say it's aimed at you. Even if you loved the show as a kid it's still a kids show!

That goes for everything aimed at kids really. I love Adventure time but I wont ever say I'm the target audience for it. It worries me that so many people on the internet do not know/think that way @.@

Well since I'm pretty much obliged now to respond whether or not that was aimed at me (I don't take offence to it, I know where you're coming from <3) no, I don't believe MLP is targeted towards adults, even the females, but the reason I stated it as such was to exclaim my point that this is literally one of the only males on this forum and, funnily enough, happens to come across as really pervy about ponies. Nah, it's not an adult's show, and whenever people point things out in it that are slightly dark/morbid and go, 'Oh, this is a kid's show? Yeah right!' I roll my eyes. It's like people are trying to make themselves believe that it's not a kiddy show. Yes... it is... whether you like it or not. Accept that and embrace it! Kid's shows are awesome. xD Adults made the show after all, so why can't they enjoy it? xD

Well...Dorathea may be born today via Emergency C-Section. She's only 2 weeks early but she's having some heart issues. The doctors think they might've positioned herself that put a kink in the cord or something.

I was always confused by Adventure Time. It seems to have alot of adult fans so I was always trying to work out who it was aimed for (and it seems to have alot of "in" jokes that I think only adults would get like the simpsons). So it is a kids show is it??

Yup it is  Yeah it's got jokes only an adult would get but that makes it good imo. Less boring for any adults forced to watch it by their kids. It's the same with kids movies a good one will have things only an adult will get.
