Doom Chicken is a great name for Yveltal. I adore the darker interpretation of Yveltal myself- though Falconcrest, I really like that more merciful one you brought up.
And yeaaah, Bianca and Shauni are really, really similar.

So pokemon apparently read my mind and knew I wasn't having a good night, because when I opened my DS to farm a bit and try to calm down, the second fight I entered was the first shiny I've ever encountered.
Dugtrio isn't my ideal shiny, but I'll take it, pokemon.

I know some people like Yvetal (I am not one of them

) But it was just her...interpretation of the pokemon that caught me off guard. I do find the alternate take on its reason for taking life interesting. Hadn't looked at it in that way. Hmmm.
Caught Xerneas today, only took 2 ultra balls. Used Pikachu for Nuzzle to paralyze, then used Delphox's flamethrower, then used Pikachu's thunderbolt x2 to bring it down enough to catch. It kept one-shotting Pikachu, but my Delphox hardly took any damage from any of its attacks, so revival and switching was easy.
Actually the hardest part about the fight was trying to see the screen through Kayla's head...She really likes Xerneas ^^ Then the pokemon Amie, she loves to pet my pokemon. YAY!!! She's going to be my poke-pal!!!!

For those of you with X/Y:
A patch was released to fix the Lumiose Saving Glitch. It'll also fix a glitch in the GTS that caused errors when you used certain filters.
Serebii.net has QR codes to scan for these.

My goals for Y right now:
Complete Kalos pokedex (doin good so far! Need the X exclusives (minus Pinsir)...Amaura, Zangoose and trade evolutions)
Get all 28 Mega Stones (need: Pinsirite, Charizardite Y, Tyranitarite, Mewtwonite X, and Manectricite. If anyone has these stones and is either not gonna use em at all...I'll happily take em! I can give you any of the currently available starters, tyrunts, Omanytes, Y exclusives, or DW Eevees in exchange!)
Finish my trick room team (Reuniclus, Escavalier, Mega Abomasnow, Clawitzer, Sylveon, Torkoal)
....I'll be a busy boy XD

Okay, I wasn't all too fond of Honedge before, but after seeing it's shiny form... I actually want one. Problem is, I can't chain for them in the tall grass. As far as I know, that's the only place they're found. Not that I'm good at chaining... I'm horrible at it. It's gonna be a long night. =|

The hell is chaining? I've been looking for a shiny Honedge too, but took a break. I got a list going with a count for every pokemon I've run across. Honedge has a 15% encounter, Oddish 30%, Sentret and Espurr 20%, Nincada 10% and Kelceon 5%. Done about 1k encounters so far...no shiny yet. Of course this isn't counting the millions of encounters I've had since Yellow and never seen a shiny...RNG gods hate me, I dunno why I'm bothering...moved over to find a Golett for now.

Chaining is when you use the Pokeradar to hunt Pokemon. When you use it, some grass patches shake. Step in one and a pokemon appears. Defeat or cap it and other grass spots shake which contain pokemon.
The goal is to keep finding the same one over and over. It has a higher chance to produce a shiny.
Some tips:
1: Get off your skates/bike and never use them. They break your chain
2: If your chain breaks, walk 50 steps to recharge the radar
3: The chain breaks if you leave the grass, find a different pokemon, hop on your skates/bike, find an empty shaking grass spot, or fail to defeat/cap the pokemon.
4: If you don't like/feel uneasy about the current shaking grass you were given, you CAN recharge your Radar..so long as you never leave the grass. This won't break your chain.
5: There are 4 types of shaking grass:
A: Slow Shaking: This is an empty spot. Avoid.
B: Medium Shaking: This is a different pokemon from the one you are chaining. Avoid.
C: Fast Shaking: This is your current chaining target. Head for these ones
D: Sparkling: You got your shiny.
6: Repels. Use em.

Yeah I had just found it lol. Now if I could just get the pokemon I want to show up lol (soft resetting every time I don't get it to save repels and time).

Poke radar doesn't work in tall grass...that makes me sad.
