The Kor'kron wolf is using the correct color now in Beta (the one used in live) and the mount journal actually matches as well.

As of the current build, the recently readded mounts are still in. Still no source

Excellent! Thanks for the report At least that's one more thing that is clarified.

Mount changes I've noticed in the latest patch:

• the mysterious Cindermane Charger appears to have been removed from the journal again
• the four mounts that were removed then added back, i.e. the Giant Coldsnout, Garn Steelmaw, Smoky Direwolf and Shadowhide Pearltusk, all now have a source: the Invader's Forgotten Treasure reward satchel, which is awarded by the weekly quests Gold Victory / Gold Victory (Alliance / Horde).
  Does anyone have any info about the nature of these quests? Their flavour text is ambiguous and avoids mentioning what is required.
  Collecting these four may keep us busy a while. We have no idea of the loot rate yet, but at least the teaching items are classed as blue (rare), rather than purple. Hopefully that means they're not White Polar Bear levels of crazy.

It's cool that, even if they didn't have a good source for them before, they still added them! I always sigh with disappointment when cool skins and colours of a mount are left to rot in the database. Same for items and all.

Judging by this Bronze Victory quest, available at the same NPC, it looks like the bag is rewarded for earning a gold medal on the weekly Garrison Invasion.

Solar Spirehawk is, as expected, now listed as a drop from Rukhmar

Who is Rukhmar? And what difficulty? I'm guessing it's a raid boss, but perhaps I'm wrong.

He's a world boss, much like Galleon or Oondasta. As for lore background, let's just say he's one of the Arakkoa's gods.

I can't get the fire effects and mane to render properly in WMV. Still fiddling with it.

But not unexpectedly it can sprout wings and fly:

Just a reminder, but the Cindermane Charger was flagged as a Recruit-a-friend mount when its name first came up.

Which is sad, cuz I want it now...

I'm reaaaaallly sick of recruit a friend mounts. I don't know why new ones have to be added all the time. If someone recruits a friend they already have plenty of mounts and pets to choose from. /pouts

At least with the blizzard store mounts I can easily buy them; recruit a friend is more trouble than its worth.
