My forgetful mind... I preordered the Cata CE weeks ago, but have completely forgotten which of my many e-mails I gave them. So now I'm left with no information whatsoever on when my CE would be arriving... I don't know if I should just go to a local store and buy it there and return the preordered copy once it arrives.

Edit: To make matters worse, the store I ordered from doesn't have the Cataclysm CE in the database anymore... *facepalm* I'll probably have to call them to make sure, but this sucks.

Edit2: It seems that their customer service number broke during the last half an hour. XD Also the local store doesn't have CEs. *hits head on wall - repeatedly - until it bleeds* I'm not ordering any more copies until this one has been taken care of. I have to say I'm really disappointed with the store I ordered mine from, usually they handle these things just fine. If I'm really lucky, I'll have a package waiting for me when I get home. If things go pearshaped, I'll have to either get the normal edition (;____;) or wait for a Collector's Edition for weeks.

SPEAKING of Cataclysm CE troubles.. The fact that I'm nocturnal at the moment, means that, from what I can tell.. I'll be falling asleep before if not around the time FedEx delivers my CE... Meaning I'll probably have to wait 'til I wake up around.. 5 pm to play. I almost broke down and went out to buy the normal version.. But... The Lil' Deathwing pet made me decide to wait. So.. For the rest of the night I shall be busy reading my The Shattering book and drawing Pokemon chibis... Hopefully I won't go insane from lack of patience... *Sighs*

Update: at least my CE is coming! \o/ The store I used didn't get the copies until today (curse you, independence day!), so it should take a week max for my dear CE to reach me. ^^

Still it grinds my gears to have it take so long though. <.<

Cata is out. Yay!

My complaint? Jackasses. The jackassery is astounding. C'mon people....this isnt Wrath. Quit being douchebags.

I second this, even though I haven't gotten to experience it myself yet. A while back I made the decision of avoiding the leveling process for the first few days just so most of the gankers and overall crowd will have moved on. I'll just be leveling my Paladin through Outland and later Northrend while others suffer in Vashj'ir and Hyjal. *mwahaha* Mid-levels are the best place to be right now, methinks.. At least until the fastest Goblins and Worgens get there.

It's terrible. Several Horde and Alliance players are flagging themselves just to battle over quest stuff. It's frustrating. And they grief other people by planting their giant uber mount right over Ysera or Malfurion. When you say something, they just troll you going "Use your keyboard, n00b!". I lost it on one of them and went "No you loser! You dont pay for my account nor are you me. I'll play the game how I want to. If I feel like clicking to turn in quests, then thats what I'll do! until you magically are paying for my account and take over my brain, I'll use a freakin mouse to click on quest givers and report griefers like you!"

Guh they piss me off so bad. Granted, i was a bit more colorful in words than that.

ok, this is a TOTAL derail...

is there any way for me to just buy 1 hard copy, and use it to install, then buy 2 of the downloadable versions to get the keys? (I have 3 accounts.. that makes for an awful lot of downloading).

You don't need a single hard copy, as all the data needed are downloaded online anyway. I've heard that even the hard copies don't come with DVDs, just the code - all the actual expansion data is downloaded once you run the game.

Hard copies do come with DVDs. Your tactic would work just fine.

WELL!
it turns out living in a predominantly French-speaking country has its advantages!

it seems our local Bestbuy has an excess of English-language CE Catclysm expacs!!!
they sold many French-language ones.

I have one on the way from Amazon (which won't be here for another week or two), and now one is set aside for me at Bestbuy... and I might just splurge for the non-combat pet for my three accounts.

At last! this thread is back on track!!!

This news should get QUITE a few of your gears ground :headbang:

Huh, they do? Thought I read they didn't somewhere, but I might've just read it wrong or something.

Still personally I would go for a digital download if I wasn't after the CE.

Another thing grinding my gears....

the constant QQ I've been seeing about worgen females.

Seriously. Enough with the non-constructive bashing already! If you dont like it, dont play one. We don't need 50 topics about it. It's getting really old, especially since I like the worgen females and voicing the fact that I do, I get ganged up on.

Let those of us who do like them voice that freely and enjoy them without having to see the same topics pop up, thank you.

I'm not sure what's on the dvd but it only installs from dvd for a couple minutes before downloading like 800mb from the server.. I felt ripped off..

Oh look, more things that annoy me. >.>;

This time it's... The fact that I seriously have NOTHING to do. It is currently 2 am. I'm bored of play WoW for some odd reason, I have an artblock so no drawing, I don't feel like playing any other computer games that I have (Heck, the one that I DO feel like playing slightly.. Isn't installed on my laptop and I can't find the first disc TO install it)... I'd play Pokemon, but I'm so obsessed with Black and White, but can't play them since they're not out in the US yet, I just can't play any of my Pokemon games without getting bored after 5 minutes.

Basically. I have nothing to do. It's times like these that I just feel like going and curling up in a hole and dying since I'm already dying of boredom.

you know what grinds my gears?

that I've wanted a CE of WoW Since I started playing, years ago...
that every time I've TRIED to get one, they were sold out at every store, the DAY that the CE was announced
that even when I DID get to be on that list, they screwed me over, by over-reserving: "oh, we're sorry, we didn't get as many as we thought we'd get, but do you still wan the regular edition?"

And that last night, I was at the BestBuy in this rinkydink town outside of where we used to live...

and they had THIRTY CE boxes sitting there at 9 PM the day of release... and getting told "yeah, we will probably return all of those, they don't sell here".

If I had known, years ago, I'd have had ALL the WoW CE boxes I wanted just by driving 30 minutes out of town.

(we used to live in a huge city, where local stores only got a few copies each of the CE)

I mean, I'm HAPPY I finally got my collector's edition (bought three, actually), but still...
