Volcanion is probably my favourite out of the hidden legendaries so far. And that unusual typing...Fire/water, that's going to make it a very interesting pokemon!

Ingame news, I finally got my aqua flower, TM flamethrower, and I am about to strangle that stupid Zapdos! Just get your butt to the freaking cave already!!! I've found your feathery butt way to many times now, GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!!

ehm...anyhow, router is still not functioning, and it will be at least a month before I can think about buying another one. Being without wi-fi SUCKS!!! I can't do half the fun things I keep hearing about, I wanna be a wonder trade addict T.T

So I finally have plushies of Froakie, Chespin, AND Fennekin! My Sylveon should be arriving shortly along with my iPhone case. I've already got the keychain and the phone charm.

A photo of a prototype of a new D-arts Pokemon came out. I'm not too fond of Lucario and I don't know if I would get it but I thought I'd share it here anyway as I'm sure someone likes him! I just ordered my 2nd D-arts this time Venusaur!



I wonder what the others will be in the next wave? Or will it just be him? I dunno but I do hope for my faves. Hell the Eevees would just print money!

The UK have a huge lack of X & Y merch right now (They get it eventually, just not as soon as I would've liked...) and I just bought the figure that comes with the TCG box set of Fennekin! And that's not even the best part, the best part is that it was sold to me by one of my favourite YouTubers - TheCatsMeowth! She does Pokémon TCG pack openings and, while I'm not into the TCG as much anymore, I find pack openings really fun to watch and she's one of my favourites!

So something awesome and adorable happens when you walk into a Pokecenter on your birthday lol. I thought my game froze up and then all of a sudden boom there are streamers and Pikachu confetti pieces flying across my screen. I walked up to the nurse and she tells me "It's your birthday! Have a happy birthday and a very happy new year!" then all of a sudden a giant light up cake appeared where your Pokémon normally do as they're being healed. It plays the Pokecenter song on some sort of birthday chime too.

That's AWESOME!!!!

Yeah that's what I said! All the Pokecenter's do this all day it seems. Every time I go back the cake is there and the happy Pokecenter song is there too.

On the topic of TCG I found one of the few Game/Nerd/Comic shops in Auckland (we have like 4 >.>) has a section that just sells single Pokemon cards!

You guys don't know how happy this makes me! Like 3 of the stores do that for Magic (hell one shop is JUST Magic cards) so finding that one does it with Pokemon cards is so good!

I'm trying to get 1 card of each Pokemon. I don't really care what series it's from as long as I like the picture so now that I can go there like once a month to see if they have some cards I need is great! Cheaper then spending $10 a booster pack.

I've nearly got all of Gen 1 and 5 in card form! and all the Eevees that are out right now (Gen 6 is not out only like the starters I think)

Well, apparently Murkrow is making me pay for getting shiny Froakie so quickly- some 160 eggs in so far and nada. And I swear, if I get a female, I'm going to scream and throw my DS out a window. xD

This is how I feel right now. (': I felt waaaaaaaaaaaaay too lucky getting a shiny Eevee when I didn't even want it after 22 eggs and then shiny Gastrodon just randomly a few days later, so now I feel like it'll be THOUSANDS of eggs before I'm allowed a shiny Vulpix haha.

Yes. I'm going after a shiny Vulpix. Again. Even after an insane hunt a few months back. Why? Because her nature bothered me. >.< Also because I don't have anything better to be doing haha. I'm on about 90 eggs now, using the Masuda Method and an Everstone so all them are Modest natured. But I swear to god, if it ends up being male, I'll cry. I don't want a male Ninetales. ;___;

Question: if a pokemon is genderless, can it only breed with a ditto?

I'm almost to 300 eggs with the Masuda Method and no shiny Espurr. I've gone this far without advancing through the game (still not even close to the 3rd gym yet) so I'm wholly unmotivated to actually take a break from hatching eggs to play the actual content so I'm in this terrible cycle of zooming back and forth on the bike praying to each egg that's at the 'close to hatching' stage that it'll hatch shiny. I honestly cannot play the game till I get this bloody sucker anymore, this is as bad as the Netherwing grind back in early TBC!

I got a Japanese ditto in wonder trade....that's good, right?

Yes.

Also Japanese Dittos mean you can do Masuda Method for semi-easier shinies (well you could use any pokemon as long as its not from your real-life region to get Masuda Method. Ditto is just best))

Okay, major noob question here.

When a Pokémon has it's hidden ability, does it replace it's normal ability? Because 'hidden' makes it sound like you can't see it. It's just that I remembered that Ninetales' hidden ability is Drought, which sounds major useful, and I've never gone after a Pokémon's hidden ability before. I thought if I'm breeding for a shiny Vulpix with a modest nature I may as well go for it's hidden ability too, I just don't know how I know I've got it, so to say.

Since the chance to get a Pokémon with it's hidden ability from the friend safari is meant to be about 1/5, I thought I may as well go for it.

Also, how do hidden abilities transfer across through breeding with a Ditto? Does it have to be a female? I've never worked with hidden abilities before. D:

As far as I know, the Hidden ability does replace the original, so you'll see it if you have it.
