Hidden Ability takes the place of the regular ability.

To pass the Hidden ability, you must be either a female with the ability breeding with anything, or a male with the Hidden ability breeding with Ditto.

To check if you have the ability...just look at the pokemon's stat page.

Note that it is NOT guarenteed that the ability will be transferred. It may take a few tries

Ahh thanks guys. (: So if I'm breeding with Ditto (Since my Ditto is Japanese and I'm trying to MM at the same time.) the other Pokémon will need to be male? Could be a pain considering there's only a 25% chance to find a male Ninetales. xD

and my Espurr evolved into a Meowstic recently...she's creepy O.O When she attacks, her pupils disappear and her ears go up (like Espurr's do) and there's these eyeball looking circles underneath and I'm just all like O.O........ >> ......... << ........ *Jurz flees*

I stopped being lazy and went to look it up and found this...

"In Generation VI it is possible for any Pokémon, including male or genderless Pokémon, to pass down their hidden ability when bred with a Ditto."

Sooooo I guess that means both female AND male Pokémon can pass down hidden abilities when bred with Ditto?

Edit: Well I just bred a female Ninetales with Drought and 3/5 of the babies have Drought. I guess there's nothing to guarantee the hidden ability will pass?

I think there's a 60% chance of passing the hidden ability, but there's no way to guarantee it.

... I'm freaking out over abilities myself, I'm trying to get a Skuntank that I can use in some competitive battles, and I'm trying for a shiny at the same time with MM. I want my Skuntank to have Aftermath, but it seems to be the rarer of its two abilities, and even though I have well over 100 Stunky in my boxes now, only about 15 of them have the ability X_X I hope my shiny gets it, I really do.

Almost 150 Vulpix hatches later... still no shiny. I still have those boxes full of vulpix should anyone... uh, want one. ._.;

Yeah sorry XD I know in 5th gen, you specifically needed a DW ability female and a non-ditto compatible male. I didn't know whether or not Ditto was allowed with the female this time around or not XD

Well, since my router got replaced today thanks to a friend! I've been wonder trading...which is VERY addicting!!! 2 boxes full, I really should organize them...after one more trade...maybe just one more, oh I've time for another, one more won't hurt...

Oh god it's like gambling, it's so addicting. I'll spend an hour just wonder trading back and forth, it's a great feature.

Well, decided to do a bunch of Vivillion breeding for the GTS.

I have gotten:
Continental, Garden, High plains (my own), Meadow, Modern, Polar, Elegant.

I need:
Tundra, Icysnow, Marine, Archipelago, Sandstorm, River, Monsoon, Savannah, sun, ocean and Jungle!

on another note, Vivillion #666, prefect pokemon for that number, because getting each variation is HELL!!

So I've decided on a team of Pokemon for some battling, and to make my life hell I want them all to be shiny... At the very least, I'm dead set on my Skuntank being shiny (probably because I've already hatched over 100 Stunky eggs and like heck I'm stopping now ), because pink just fits my idea of her... or him. I can't exactly know what it's gunna be. But I've decide if it does end up being a girl, I'm naming her Primrose. And a guy, Primulaceae.

Now to just figure out perfect names for the rest of my team! Anyone have ideas for Archeops, Arcanine, Roserade, Banette, and Blastoise?

Shellshock for Blastoise? Kurama (if boy?) for Ninetails

Archibald (if boy) for Archeops XD Then Banette would have to be Batman (if boy)
