So, since acquiring my shiny Espurr (both male and a very terrible nature which means I will be either giving it to bf or someone else if bf doesn't want him, or dumping his ass), I've finally begun releasing the 'I see... ALL' Espurr legion I bred on wednesday night when I went over to bf's and I've yet to finish

I had 320 Espurr's and I still got 2 and a half boxes left out of 10 and a half

Also, I've been naming pokemon after SnK characters and I named an Emolga 'Eren' after the main character, and then I got a Zangoose named Levi and while I don't have their natures and characteristics right yet (gonna breed em for that right pairing of nature and characteristic that suits the actual series character), I'm already starting to automatically think their names when I see the pokemon. I picked up an Emolga plushie at the Target that opened up a couple days ago near bf's house and it was automatically dubbed Eren. No question.

It was a hard choice though TBH. They had fairly reasonable sized action figures of Yvetal and Xerenas ;A; But I needed Emolga-Eren too bad. He's so flipping adorable, I am wholly obsessed with this toy.

I'll also try to add people to mah friends list soon, my DS is charging so I can't add anyone and I've had very little internet time since coming to bf's where there's wi-fi I actually have access to

All this talk of shinies lately..... If there is one shiny I would absolutely love to catch, it's Magikarp or Gyarados. I think I would crap myself five times if that ever happened. Gyarados is my favorite pokemon, and I adore the shiny version.

I looked for Gyarados plushies online (since we're also talking about plushies a little), and the only ones I've seen are out of stock for blue, or several hundred dollars for red. x_x No plushies for me!

Awe D: *pat pat Rhy* I really hate when plushies of a pokemon aren't made to begin with by ANY company you can possible google or jump on a sales site for, and ones where they're really badly done. I want an Arcanine one so bad but the few I've seen are so horrible. I want a Noivern one too but I think they're too new and perhaps not among those that would be in enough demand (or patterns are still in the works).

I've yet to find a Zangoose one too which is depressing ._. So few pokemon I like that I want real life versions of don't get plushie versions

One day though maybe... maybe, if I manage to actually gather the fabric for it, I'll attempt (and probably fail miserably) to make my own plushie of a few pokemon. Zangoose I doubt I'll do, definitely not Arcanine for dat fur fluff, Noivern seems reasonable. Kinda interested in attempting a Vulpix if I actually do well (perhaps Ninetails but she's so impossibly skinny I'll die trying to make dem tails n legs). If female Meowstics don't got official plushies I like then I might attempt her too.

*dreams of all these projects she'll never actually do but pretends like she will*

I actually have a shiny karp >.> Found it way back in ruby/sapphire while looking for feebas XD And I think I can get the red gyarados since I have a copy of soul silver now. You want the karp? Poor thing is just wasting away in one of my boxes.

I'm glad I'm fine with Subs because the dub for Pokemon Origins is not that good >.> Oh wells least it's only 4 eps!

I can trade to black 2. If you can get online then I can probably send the karp over that way. I think we would need to friend each other in black 2 in order to trade. Assuming we can still trade. I've been having some issues with it lately. If not then we can wait till the online boxes are up and I can send the karp to my gen6 game, then to your copy of x.

So apparently the shiny chance by default is now 1/4096? And that's without Masuda Method. o.o I'd find a source but this is all info I've read off the shiny thread on Serebii. Something called an Instachecker that people are using to find out shiny rates? *Shrug* Maybe someone here knows more about it than me. Even so, I thought some people here might like to know that the shiny chance has pretty much been halved.

I can't say I'm surprised. A lot of people were saying that shinies in X and Y were being found left right and centre because everyone's playing all at once, but I genuinely thought the shiny chance had been upped. How else would I have found two shinies within three days without even trying?! xD

Edit: I looked up what Instachecker is. Basically, there's now a way to 100% guarantee a shiny from an egg. The program checks your trainer value and the egg's value and if the values match, the egg will hatch into a shiny 100% of the time. So basically, if you can find someone else who's trainer value matches up with your egg's value and trade the egg to them, it will hatch into a shiny. There's a lot of debate over whether this is 'right' or 'wrong' it seems. Personally, I wouldn't use it, as it's an external program not created by Gamefreak and certainly isn't the way they intended shinies to be found. Back to hatching my Vulpix~

You can say shiny rates are up, but there are still a ton of peeps who are still shiniless even when trying...I'm kinda doubting it was raised.

I swear I thought you couldn't trade eggs? Unless they're using an external program for that too. Have yet to find any shinies in X and Y myself, and usually I've found one by this point. Of course, it's only a matter of time until I hatch a shiny, so!

Serebii has stated that the chance has indeed been raised. They just haven't given us any numbers yet.

Malamar is going to be my top favorite pokemon alongside Noivern in this gen, def. Hypnosis + Swagger + Foul Play (w/ STAB) = OVERKILL

>:3 I'm going to wreck things weak to dark so hard. And even just things in general that take regular damage to dark moves. Only thing I gotta actually look out for is anything holding Chesto berries and those with Early Bird/Insomnia/whatever else cuts or resists sleep

I think my Malamar (when I finally breed my desired Inkay) is going to be my Noivern's best friend in some sort of devious duo. I lub both of them so much <333

I'd like to see some proof it was raised...maybe then I can see for sure if Nintendo installed a chip in my butt the day I was born that sends out a signal to all Pokemon games that says "Don't produce any shinies!". :/ Even using the MM method I still can't get a shiny...

I think I'd prefer to do it once the boxes are up. I've almost got Black 2 beat and so I'll be playing X here soon. ^.^ Yaaay!
