Someone posted these during a stream. Also these: http://www.adriacraft.net/warcraft/warl ... 404065883/

Edit: Also saw this; I don't think it's official, but I wouldn't mind draenei like this.

At this point, I feel like all the dwarf female faces feel too similar. While a lot of the old ones were terrible and ugly, I'll give you, the new ones seem to have only the most minor changes in expression or features. While I'd prefer they not look like they've been smacked with the ugly stick, I don't want them to look like clones either...

The male tauren's newly defined fingernails look so bizarre to me. The old ones look more hoof-like, but those human looking fingers are creeping me out.

I remember Blizz saying that they want the new faces to not show that much expression (like that super angry old dwarf face), so that could be part of it. But I agree that I wish they had more variation.
When developing the base model we keep the expression on the face as devoid of emotion or expression as possible, as that allows our animators a greater range of motion when they start posing and morphing the face into different expressions. If we were to put any amount of expression—even a slight smile or mildly angry eyebrows—in the base model, that would carry through to every animation, and we'd end up with some very confused-looking characters.

That's the base model though, the ones in the character creation screen shouldn't be that vapid, it's just for the bare bones model before they apply it to anything.

Mrrr, not so sure I like the direction they're going with facial variation... The eyes are all exactly the same, with only different colors. No altered shapes or anything. Different eye shapes are really important for defining character appearances, most of the variations for the updated female dwarf are so close that you need to really stare to see a difference.

Also, glad to see newer tauren. They're looking... pretty good. Better than the previous, for sure.

Keep in mind, I'm only gonna put official stuff on the first page of this topic. I tried looking for the draenei but saw nothing. Beautiful as it is, it's probably not official.

Luckily, my dwarfette is using the last of the 5 above faces, and the new one for that seems to be the only one that doesn't look as if she was about to cry :P All of the others on the creation screen seem to say "don't pick me, I don't want to go on an adventure! No, not me, please, all I want to do in my life is hide under my sweet safe bed...".

Sure, we dwarfettes are warm and homey, and "smell rather of an apple-pie than exotic flowers", but we're a bunch of badass bally lasses at the same time! We don't walk around making people feel compelled to give us a hug and let us cry on their shoulder!
/vent pffft....

No, wait, me vent is still on >.>

all of the faces, except maybe the 1st one, look like some psychotic stuff from a nightmare. Especially the chosen face. Brrrr...

This is making me increasingly worried about female undead, actually. They're such an insanely versatile race when it comes to faces- the amount of gorgeous and terrifying combos you can make out of their facial options make them one of my favorite races to make characters for. ...But, uh, the artists are going to need to step up their Facial Variation game if they want female undead to stay that way. >.>

They're probably not finished with all the expressions yet. So it might be better to relax a bit. :)
