Come on, they gave us all the GOOFY mechanicals, what about the bear and the cat? C'moooooon blizz, I want that cat like BURNING.

The problem with the bear and cat seems to be that they were designed for very small models and when you enlarge them they look all curvy. Like they're not so much mechanical as a creature wearing a mechanical-print onesie.

They would be very kool pets if they updated them like the squirrel.

Yeah. One other benefit of the squirrels that it's all plates, no cogs I think. From memory that bear and cat have cogs and that's what looks the weirdest when they get large and look very bent.

I'm not sure where you get the paint, but it'd make sense for Blackfuse to drop the first, and the Juggernaut to drop the second.

No clue where you'd get the paints either, but they are in the database as items specifically:

I killed Blackfuse when I was in SoO to get Thok and he didn't drop anything (though it was LFR, it's possible it doesn't work there). As for Juggernaut... yeah, I got kinda sick of trying to find someone on beta to help me to kill Galakras Stupid turrets. I got a couple "why are you going into SoO?" replies but that's it.

Possible, but it's *also* possible that he doesn't drop it every time. LFR or normal. It may be a matter of 'occasionally, it'll drop'. Just putting it out there as a possibility, though.

That is very interesting. Following the items, you take the juggernaut parts and power core, mix with paint and end up summoning one of 4 npcs.

Can those bosses be salvaged via engineering? They could be part of that loot table.

Considering they're BoP, I highly doubt it. It's *possible*, but it would make a hunter reliant on an engineer to create the item and sell them the chance for a summon/sale.

Then again, there are mounts that require several recipes, so.... maybe.

Didn't pay attention to the BoP. Nothing else links this with the profession so I bet it doesn't.

Did some digging in the database. It looks like the Thorium Rocket Chicken, at least the first one, is a spell that Millificent uses in the Violet Hold dungeon. And after doing even more digging, the Reinforced Thorium Chicken is also a spell that Millificent uses in Violet Hold. Might be the heroic version.

BTW, any people running instances in the Beta, I'd appreciate anything you find. I've done a couple today and found nothing tameable but will put them up later. Only thing of real interest I've found so far was a mana wyrm (called "Mana Wyrm") in the Arcway that is a colour we haven't seen elsewhere, it's the dark purple one. Maybe they could set it tameable.

Damn. Although it wouldn't be the first time things like that have been set 'tameable'. So if anyone goes, check the robochickens?

I know the chance is *extremely* low, but it's something.

Unfortunately, there's not a family for sea lions. Incidentally, I saw an npc druid using that model for its aquatic form when all the druids in druid town were cheering me getting the bear claws of the bear god.

I believe that druid is Zen'kiki, whom is known for being a terrible shapeshifter
