If that's the case, I'd like the two black raptor off to the side. I meant to ask you allot them as they were yours. I'll also take the other rex if that's the case. Just put them by my house so they can eat from my troughs... although my meats probably gone by now.
They're taking me in for surgery. My cyst is now 6cm and they're going to remove it. Not sure how long I'll be here.

The female Rex or? I was going to take the male since I needed one more male. The female Nef had claimed.
I'll happily move the two black raptor over for you.
I'm so sorry you're having to have surgery. If it's what I think it is ................ you'll be down a while. Is your troughs your usual pin number or are they unlocked? Would you like us to just move them to the cove?

I hope everything goes well.
I was going to grab the lady rex but if you want her I suppose that's fine unless you would like the boy I tamed today instead? unfortunately he's a fairly low level though.
The one with the saddle is Raelene, the other is the rex boy I tamed, they're more or less twins.

Quick question for you guys: The husband and I are going to buy the game tonight since it's on sale and would love to learn to play on a private server if possible. Anyone here have one that would be willing to give us an invite or if not, some pointers on where to go that might be safe to learn? Let me know! ♥

If on the island map start in south zone 1. That is the safest i found ♥
I sadly dont know any private server. When we play i just run our own undedicated server. But we dont play every day, just when we feel like it

Maybe the server where Zed and the others are playing. The details should be in this post somewhere

.. though their server is a primitive plus server which means you dont get to have all the neat tech items on higher lvls

Hm .. I play on a reasonably new dedicated server along with an official primplus server with a group of helpfull and friendly players,Seila and Zed also play on the official primplus server with me
If you wish I can ask the owner if I can send you two an invite to Gallifrey.
"Safe" zones differ depending on which map is used, on The Island the south is generally abit kinder.
Not really sure about where The Center "safezones" are.

I'm home now. Thankfully the larger incision wasn't needed. I am, however, missing my left ovary and fallopian as it was much worse than they thought once they were inside.( Apparently it scarred some of my other organs it was touching. They admit me because I just couldn't shake the anesthesia and kept falling back asleep. )I feel tons better already. Little discomfort around my three incisions, but tolerable pain.
I forgot Nef claimed the female rex, so that's no problem. I was worried she was going to get unclaimed which is why I offered to take her. So you're good to take her, Nef.
I should be able to hop on for a little to feed everyone, but not sure how long I'll be able to sit in my computer chair.
Oh, new players! Yes, join the cult of dino hoarding! I can't offer any advice on private servers, I only play on official. There are plenty of unofficial servers listed that might be good to start. They normally have increased rates for things which helps.

I PM-ed Ashaine the information for our Prim+ server including the total conversion mod. I will try and be on to invite them to the tribe.
I'm so excited!
Ashaine & Hubby - Once you guys get into the prim+ server 14 and you're in the tribe our old base will be PERFECT for one or two persons starting out. It's well protected and right on the water. Plenty of space too! We also have many a giftable dinos!!! We can help you guys with whatever you need.
Seila - I fed your dinos late last night just in case. Granted your meats probably rotted by now but they at least had something to last them till someone could feed them tonight if you weren't going to make it on.

You're getting lucky with Spino. Another simple, yet pretty one.
I'll have to check them out when I log in. I'll probably pop on soon. Trying to figure out what to eat... have no cash for delivery, most places are closed now, can't drive right now, and there's nothing here to make.
Edit:
This update is being ridiculous. It starts, stops.. starts.. stops.. starts... stops. It will not just stay steady. It should be done by now. =/
They added the Yutyrannus!! I NEED ONE! FLUFFY REX!!!

If you decide you don't like the Rex boy I'll ask Ashaine if they're interested.
He's low but should level quickly.
This guy was basically right outside my gate towards predator alley. I've figured out I can use my quetzal since you can stand on their back in the air even without the platform saddle. It helps with knocking out bigger dinos while staying out of harms way. And I couldn't resist him.
We can go fluffy hunting next time we're on together if you want, I want one too.

I played around with them in single player to get an idea of what to do.. and it's going to be hard. They have a pack of 3 Carno with them that they buff. They're pretty wicked. Their fear range is pretty big and it's a long timer. Anything smaller than it will just run around uncontrollably for I think it was 14-18 seconds... it's brokenly long. I knocked one out to see if his Carno would attack him and they didn't. Wolves, boars, argent all ignored it. Imagine only a rex will want to try and eat a knocked out one.
Trying to lure one into WOLF's trap building might not work. We'd have to split the Carno away or kill them without killing the Yutyrannus... which will be challenging. He buffs them and fears you. Argy get feared, so you'd have to use a Quetz to avoid it I think. It's larger so I imagine it wouldn't get feared. I don't think Quetz fit through the doors, so we'd have to drop one in a very, very unsafe place. Even if the stuff won't attack it, it will attack us. Wolves got pack bonus buff now, boars are ridiculous. Definitely going to be a group effort to tame them.
I couldn't find a single Hyaenodon anywhere. It says they're common in the Redwoods but I didn't see any. I even went and looked around the mountain north of green obi where it has them listed as well. None. Maybe my single player session was bugged? I found Yutyrannus, though. Dunno.

Ladies! Welcome Ashaine & hubby to the tribe! OUR FIRST MALE MEMBER! They are getting set up in the south base. I'm so excited. They have been gifted several useful dinos but sadly they're only herbos.
Ashaine & Hubby - You'll find he armor, hatchet & picks in the bin labeled "wood etc". You guys have the code. Feel free to use any building mats in there to make a house. Or if you'd like wait till one of us are on and we can happily gather whatever you need. If you kick the bucket you can respawn safely at any of our beds. Sadly you will lose everything. But everything is replaceable. The only kind of "rule" we have is to please not borrow another member's dino without asking. This is to avoid a possible unfortunate accident. We'll work on getting predators for you two.
I probably will not be on tonight.
Tarn - You really should!!! Ddddddoooooooo iiiiiiittttttt

Thank you for such a warm welcome!

Zed was an absolute sweetie last night dealing with our noob characters.

I will try to log in tonight to play around a bit, but I really need to read up and educate myself on the game more before seriously playing. As I don't have a single clue what I'm doing yet.

At least I figured out before logging last night, how to reassign my keys to more easily move around. Yesterday I just kept trying to move like I do in WoW with horrible results.

My poor hubby got a terrible headache from the shakey game cam, so I really hope that won't be an everytime thing.

I'll have to figure out if there is a way to scroll out further to avoid that. 1st person games can make me a bit quesy too at times. (If anyone knows how to make this better, please let me know! <3) So we'll see! Hopefully we can do this. We've been looking forward to it!

Awe thanks Ashaine!

I was glad to help. If your mouse has a wheel you should be able to just scroll out to be in third person view. I believe in the options look sensitivity can also be changed. Field of view also. For me game mechanics were the easiest learned in game. I wouldn't worry too much about collecting things. Building mats are SUPER easy for any one of us to get. Any questions just don't hesitate to ask.
Nef - If you get a chance will you toss the extra bronto saddle on the little lady at South? I don't know why I thought I had it. Oh. I think I have pela-whatever-brown-birds saddle. I'll have to put that back on her so they can have her.
Seila - How are you feeling? Saw you on Steam last night just before logging but didn't want to bug you.
Tarn - Alpha screen shots???? You know I have to live vicariously through you.

Ash you can regulate the shaky cam under options. go to your options......look for....."camera shake scale".....take that little slider bar....and turn it down...allllllllllll the way...and no more camera shaking....There's also an option in menu for head bob, I think its called Camera View Bob
Zed heh I just slept and slept and slept. My health is not that good

I might be in tomorrow though

Thanks for all the advice! You guys are the best! <3 I can't wait to get home and try these suggestions!

I swear as soon as I figure all this out, I'm going to search for a raptor and a wolf. Goals!

Ark is super addictive and fun. Takes a bit to get ones head wrapped around the "no quest" part but there are so much to explore and to do. Im not even half way through the explorations notes heh. And the caves is soo fun and so scary! .. as is the sea.. the sea is scary... very scary

and there are underwater caves which i havent seen yet
