You have to kill 100 gyreworms and shale spiders of the right colours, grind them up and mix to get the correct pigments. Then mix it with special water that is a 0.01% drop from Immerseus.

As for paint.. I'm trying to think of how to get it. Did you check the art shops in Dalaran?

If so, maybe, like the other two items being from SoO, it could be from one of the low level orc NPCs in Siege of Orgrimmar based on the old vendors there that are killable.

Check the neutral NPCs who sell things, too. Like the Caverns Of Time vender, the guy walking around the Vale, the demon vender in Winterspring, Shattrath's more unusual stores, et cetera.

From the low sell value they have, I highly doubt that's what the case is, but you never know.

Hmm. Blue, green, teal, and grey. Do we know of anything that comes in those four colors? Or similar?

I would suggest checking out artist or painter npcs. There's one outside Scholomance, but she doesn't have anything.

There's also that one in Shadowmoon, I think near Elodor.

Edit: I did some digging in WowDB and I found two objects - Bucket of Blue Paint and Bucket of Teal Paint, so apparently they are lootables.

I have gone through SoO multiple times, and haven't found anything else. None of the low-Lvl npcs in there were lootable, and nothing else dropped anything noteworthy. I searched every nook and cranny for anything I could loot. I checked various places around Azeroth that had anything to do with paint, didn't find anything. I checked with every vendor in Dalaran - including the new Art Gallery. Nothing. Both Painters, such as the one near Elodar, is friendly to Alliance but attacks Horde, so it can't be them. I searched CoT, including Culling of Stratholme.

I've been looking around with Valnaaros and yeah I am at a loss. About to go check the Darkmoon Faire as it's one possible place you might expect some paint buckets somewhere. It's just an odd item. Who would have any business dropping a paint bucket in multiple colors? Vendor makes the most sense, or just buckets you click and loot somewhere.

I'm not sure if it'll be any help, but according to WoWDB, the model for the two currently present (in the database) presumably lootable buckets is this:




Not sure if it'll help, but it might jog some memories of passing buckets like these somewhere. They look like Goblin buckets, so maybe they're placed somewhere in Orgrimmar?

Those sort of buckets have been in game since Vanilla. I have seen them in gnome and goblin areas.

Later today, when I'm able, I will focus on goblin/gnome areas where that can would fit in.

Bendak and I have searched most. K3, Booty Bay, Gadgetzan, Everlook, Ratchet, SoO, Big Blossom, Fuselight and Fuselight by the sea, Pinchwhistle. Venture Co camps and mills.

The lootable buckets only being added a build ago makes me wonder if it's even fully implemented. I dunno, it makes the most sense to me to find the paint in SoO as well. Say it is in some random azeroth zone... how is a low level hunter picking it up supposed to know what it is, or who Blackfuse is, or anything like that. Are they supposed to hold onto it for 100 levels til they can go in and solo it? Know what I mean? I feel like it should be right there in SoO. But been through there in normal, heroics, partially in mythic, LFR, and nothing.

Yep. Bendak and I have gone to and searched so many places. It is either very well hidden or broken.
