I sometimes wish that my mist (echeyakee) and my suzaku (pogeyan) would lay down and take a rest and not be in attack mode at all times, they deserve a break to, don't they?

I would by far prefer some sort of "sit" command or something to having my pet just randomly decide to lie down. It would be rather embarrassing during a particularly intense RP session when Tahl is in a heated argument with another player - during which his faithful Daishar would probably be all up in said person's grill as well - for her to suddenly decide to nap. I'd use the command...I'd just prefer to be able to control when she does it.

Hmm. This would be sort of neat.
Along similar lines I'd also like to see a noncombat posture - I don't mean lying down, I just mean, "standing at-ease".
Case in point - many pets use the same awkward crouched / hunched posture both when fighting and out of combat.
Cats can just about pull it off - they are slinky enough to make it work.
Others are not so lucky, bears for example leave their rumps high in the air while practically resting their front end on their elbows. If we must have it in combat then so be it, but out of combat... that's not how bears stand - they keep their forelegs mostly straight when they're just standing around trying to figure out what to do next. >.>
Anyway, I think it should work like this:
Combat >leave combat>
At-Ease >time passes like say 30 seconds>
Resting
This right here would make me want to tame bears again.

Any chance we might be able to get a "snack" vendor over where the quest givers are by where Kirix patrolls? I'd love to eat popcorn and icecream while watching all the hunters fail taming attempts.
Snack and a show!
(and yes, so far I have failed a the tames to lol)

Suggesting additions so the few missing skins we still have are added onto already existing creatures.
Razorthorn Ravager was retired because they were part of a daily quest back in BC (I believe anyways). Since barely anyone does that daily anymore make them tameable again and change it's crawlergreen.blp skin which we can already tame to the unused crawlervar3.blp skin.
I made this suggestion before but Vakkiz the Windrager is a currently untameable wind serpent using the commonly found WindSerpentOutland.blp skin. I know he turns into the undead wind serpent model during the fight, but tweak it a bit if you have to so hunters aren't glitch taming an undead wind serpent. Make him tameable (Gezzarak the Huntress and Akkarai Hatchling from the same questline are tameable so why isn't he?) and change his skin to the unused WindSerpentOutland2.blp skin.
For the unused RidingTigerBrownNoSaddle.blp skin I would not suggest changing Brokentooth or Araga to this skin (or to the RidingTigerGoldNoSaddle.blp skin) as some people have big attachments to these guys. Remember when Rak'Shiri was changed? Instead change common mobs to these. I think the Savannah Matriarchs would make good brown saber tigers, and maybe since there are so many brown lynx mobs change either the Grovestalker Lynx or Ripfang Lynx in Outlands to the gold saber cat, but you will have the change their name to, for example, Ripfang Saber.
I would also like to see the red ChimeraSkinOutland skin used. Since we don't have any extra Chimaeras sharing skins, it will need to be a new mob. Chimaeras used to be all over the Charred Vale in Stonetalon Mountains but not anymore, maybe make this skin a rare spawn in the area called Charred Chimaera or similar name?

1. More Pink Pets. Pink is one of the least used colors in any MMO. Why? I know plenty of guys, myself included, who love the color pink.
2. More tallstriders. We haven't had one since Burning Crusade. We didn't even get one with Cataclysm, which pretty much every other pet species did. Any chance of a Hawkstrider pet that is considered a Tallstrider?

Is anything going to be done with the pack mule skins besides the very few mules out on Azeroth(there are like, maybe ten total)? Messing around in model viewer shows
they layer over the regular riding horse model just fine, and I
kind of prefer the smoky, mottled black to be honest.
I'm not sure where you'd put them in without distorting the number of human mounts, unless maybe they belonged to a neutral faction...the Horde's chance at getting a living, non-flaming horse, maybe? :P

I can't check the pack mule model right now, but could it serve as a mount in its own right? If so, neutral goblin trade factions and/or archaeology-related factions would make the most sense as vendors to me (for the latter, perhaps purchasable after various archae achievements or rewards for turning in special finds).

The original pack mule model comes with a, er, pack on it's back - there might be a saddle under there, but I can't figure out how to check. I
would like mule mounts with proper giant ears though. :P

Ah that's right! Sorry I forgot. To check what is underneath, in WMV bring up the model control window. In that you should see a list of model parts for the mule, all checked. Uncheck individual parts till you work out how to get rid of the goods on its back

I could just see it: Archeology crafted item:
E'yore's nail
use: teaches you how to summon this mount.

@Makoes: I could argue that Eeyore was a donkey and mules are the offspring between a male donkey and a female horse and therefore not the same...but I really dig that idea(haha pun). I know they planned to add new archaeology races, maybe it can be a human archaeology rare or something(or another dwarf rare - the Explorers League have a lot of pack mules out in Northrend). I don't mind doing a rep grind, but archaeology would certainly be a nice alternative. :D
@Wain: Thanks for explaining it to me! :) I was able to get the gear off of the pack mule model, and it looks just fine - with a few tiny exceptions. Part of the reins are missing, and it doesn't have a saddle!

...or a back, for that matter.
From the side it's got a sort of 'swayback old beast of burden' look going on, but from above you can very clearly see that it's a hole into
the sixth dimensionnothingness. Other than that, though, they share all of the regular horse mount animations. I'm not sure how easy/hard it would be to move a saddle over and maybe spruce up the tack a bit(saddlebags
would be cool), but otherwise I like to think it'd make an awesome non-flashy mount. :P

Ah I see

. I did play with that pack mule model once but it was long ago. I remember the skins had a few features that varied from the horse skins (the eyes maybe? I forget). Is the base model actually any different in shape? Aside from the pack goods, I mean. Even if they could just be placed on a horse model, it'd be way more interesting if they could retain some of the packs as well.

We could always sit on top of everything else.
What if we rode in a cart behind it?

I have a couple of suggestions:
1) Please please please please please please please please make Hydras tamable. I know in the past people have asked for this for a very long time. And please don't make them "exotic".
2) About the exotic thing. I understand the reason for it. Really I do. But I've been wondering why we have to wait so long to be able to tame some of the exotics that are at low level. I mean really? Do we really have to wait to level 69? Why not make it so taming them is an inherant ability if you choose Beast Mastery instead of having Animal Handler? I mean there has to be a skill we can put in its place in the tree. Cobra reflexes or something. Or heck, just switch Animal Handler and the tame exotics ability (The name of the skill escapes me at the moment).
