Well, today has been a good day! We stumbled upon a Gamestop in the middle of nowhere, and I found a copy of Pokemon Ruby! I only recently got into pokemon, so I've never had a chance to play the older games. :D

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed that Emerald wasn't there, as I've heard it was better. :( But Ruby for $20 was still an awesome find. I've only seen it once or twice, both times being around $50. Kamalia does not have that kind of money.

Is it just me...or does Registeel look like he's giving the Nazi salute in D+P?

its supposed to be lols. I read about Registeel on Bulbapedia......the Pokemon ppl actually recieved complaints about the sprite and were forced to change it in Platinum lols.

P.S.: Senna, I added more Fun Facts to my Pokemon Fun Facts thread...I mentioned you in 2 of my Ghost type facts (not as part of the fact....just something silly at the end XP)

http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3093 the topic.

Well, Ruby's been pretty fun so far. At the moment I have a lvl 12 female Torchic and a lvl 13 female Ralts. I spent about half an hour trying to find my Ralts before realizing I was in the wrong route. Hurr hurr.
Annnnnd... I'm stuck at the Rustboro gym. Level grinding, whoooo....

Some new artwork! The fawn and swan have new artwork, and a new bug critter was revealed.

Okay, normally I'm not a fan of bugs BUT JUST LOOK AT IT

Image
If it had cheeks I would be busy all day pinching them! So cute! x)

The fawn and swan are rather different. I like the little fawn's tuft of yellow fur, but the pink pattern on him is a little odd. Still adorable, though. And the swan... looks like she's wearing a bra. ...Wha?
I like her personality, though. She looks like she's got a massive attitude.

I think I'm in love with almost every Pokemon that's been revealed. I'm awful excited for Black/White!

EDIT:

I also found a picture of The Knights of the Round Table Team Plasma!

Image
...Interesting outfit choice. I wonder what mischief these guys are going to get into?
If one of these guys don't say "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!", I will be very sad.

For those wondering about the Legendary pokemon Victini, it has a unique type combo: Psychic/Fire. It is known as the Victory Pokemon. It is 0.4m tall and 4.0kg. It has an ability called Victory Star. It is number 000 in Isshu's pokedex (many ppl make fun of this by calling it "Missingno", the same name as the RBY glitch pokemon that gave you unlimited amounts of the 6th item in your bag if you defeat it.) and as previously stated, it is event only.

http://serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon.shtml Pic of Victini is on this page....just scroll down to the pokemon right under Zoroark.

looks like our Japanese friends are gettin another Wifi event. After the current Ash's Pikachu event ends, there will be a downloadable Manaphy. Starts August 14 and ends September 12. Again it is Japan only but hey...it may come here sometime in the future.

The Manaphy holds a Lansat berry and knows Aqua Ring, Water Sport and 2 unknown-as-of-now moves.

is there a limit to how many wi-fi events you can get on one game?

I wouldn't think so...

I doubt that there is a limit....since events seem to happen a lot, so it wouldn't really be fair to the fanbase if they put a limit on it.......the limit would prolly be around the same number as event-only legendaries if they had one (8: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus....5th gen is adding Zorua, Zoroark and Victini to this list.....tho the first two may change.)

As for Japan's Manaphy event, more details were revealed....namely its full moveset and its level. It knows Water Pulse, Water Sport, Aqua Ring and Heart Swap. It is level 50.

Uughhh I'm loving every single pokémon that is being released. How am I going to decide on six? ;_;

Hm, that flying squirrel interests me. It looks like yet ANOTHER pikachu clone, but if it has reasonable stats, I might give the cutie a try. Plus it's an electric that won't have a weakness to ground!

Awww poor Zapdos is no longer truly unique in type combo /sadfaceZapdos.

The deer is interesting....Normal/Grass type.....strange combo but no complaints.

Also the attack Growth will raise both Attack and Sp Attack by 1 level in 5th gen. Interesting.

normal/grass isnt as strange as Grass/flying :P Normal could be anything...it could even be a boat!
I am finding many of the new pokemon to be hit and miss, but then again I thought the same way with the last new generation. They will all eventually grow on me.
Guess I should save up some gold...er money for an imported version when they are released in Japan. Ah well, not like I actually spend alot of money on stuff anyhow :P

@Magnakilro, can I borrow your orkit thingy to breed an egg?

o crap lol forgot about that thing lols yeah sure.

B&W info: TMs are no longer 1-time only

Items and berries can be traded

Berries do not grow in Isshu, they grow in the dream world

Pokemon in the dream world have different abilities then usual such as a Vaporeon with Hydration

The Sturdy ability will have an added effect: The pokemon can not be OHKO'ed by ANY attack if it is at full health.

Wild pokemon change with the season

Aaahh, I was wondering why there was a picture of Vaporeon in the CoroCoro scans... I also remember hearing something about all of the Eeveelutions and Pikachu being available in this "Dream World". ...I wonder how you get there?
Magnakilro wrote:Wild pokemon change with the season
Hmm. I wonder if the rate of appearance will go up and down (IE a Pokémon has a 5% chance of appearing in Spring, 10% in Summer, 30% in Fall, 10% in Winter), or if completely new Pokémon will be available each season. Though the latter might be a bit troublesome... Oh, you wanted to catch that Pokémon? WELL SORRY Summer ended yesterday have fun waiting three months. I have a feeling you won't be able to skip seasons through changing the DS clock. It would kind of destroy the point of them, otherwise...

Though season-themed Pokémon would be very fun! As would season-themed evolutons... Eevee, anyone? ;) Or maybe with Shikijika (The deer)? His colour changes with each season, so why not evolutions? It'd be nice if he was more than just a gimmick Pokémon... he sure seems to be leaning that way. :(
