If not, what level is the tux pattern? Hadyn (my Nesingwary mage) just hit 300 tailoring, so provided I can get a hold of the pattern I'd be more than happy to make stuff. XD

What might take down your devious plan is, that blizzard might not transfer lvl80s to be goblins at first, because they want peole to get some time to level their goblins first.

That actually only helps her plan, since she's waiting anyway. :D

Just wanted to upload the SS I took last night after four guildies (myself, Veph, Kalli, and Fworbin) 4-manned the Slave Pens.

Image

It was quite fun, because we really didn't have a healer OR a tank. Veph kinda switched back and forth on her pally as needed, and Gumbo the Crocolisk also did some tanking. We managed to get through the whole thing by using our smarts, our sheeps, our turtles, and pure awesome :D

Excellent CC and quick thinking all around! :D Honestly, that was far better than waiting for a random queue, plus four of us got to go on dps characters. ^_^

Yush, I thought it worked out incredibly well. Especially since I had no idea what I was doing with the class OR the dungeon (having done...neither...before together lol) but you guys all gave most excellent suggestions and explained it all very nicely. :D Good leaders, good teamwork, good execution = great time :)

And in the end we all benefited from it too! Everyone got experience, Fworbin even dinged, and I got a shiny new (adorable) wand :D

Sitting at home right now, trying not to melt and watching the tele. News is all afluster over Hurricane Earl. You'd we'd never had nasty weather before with the way they're going on and on about this storm.

Ah, well, at least it's not snow...

Any way, should Earl be a big pain and knock out my power or internet or both, know that I shall be safe and sound. And to any other guild-member or forum reader along the east coast, be safe and sound out there during this storm.

Yeah, they're all wild about this storm right now, so I totally hear ya Sochi. Snowstorms personally seem like the bigger threat, at least to me.

Our town is getting a 'moderate' threat level now, but I don't expect it'll be much worse than the usual thunderstorms we get around here...

Well, Earl turned out to be a big load of nothing but rain and a little wind, at least as far as my area was concerned. *sigh* Forecasters bluster about as much as a storm sometimes. After the Snow Storm that Wasn't last year, I've kinda given up hope in their skills. They had "predicted" this huge storm. It was gonna be snow and wind and general weather nastiness. In preparation for this storm, Boston made emergency measures, limited parking, advised non essential personnel to stay home.

Now I live on a hill that's on the top of another hill. My road can get treacherous. I don't drive a car that's well suited to snow. I had work that day and given the forecaster's predictions, the snow would start while I was at work and slam us for the rest of the day. Chances were, I would not get home and if I did, I would not be able to get car into driveway. So to save myself a headache, I woke early that day, checked the weather report and called out. Looking forward to a day of shoveling, (well, not in love with shoveling...) hot chocolate, and WoW, I went back to bed. When I woke up two hours later, I leaned over and inched open a blind, expecting a world of white.

Bare pavement greeted my eyes.

There wasn't an errant flake to be seen.

Not one white covered roof, no one braving their way up or down my hill. No winter noob driving up my hill and doing it wrong. No kids seeking cash by offering to shovel. No snowball fights or folks dragging sleds to the park. I went to the tv. I got an update. Snow-maggedon wasn't happening. I wasted PT time to stay home and save myself some trouble when I could have gone in to work.

There were some very apologetic weather forecasters on the news that afternoon and the next day. Their demeanor was subdued and they looked diminished in a way. Since their flub, I take their forecasts with a grain of salt and seek other stations to confirm it as best I can. Afterall, is it wise to take weather advice from someone looking at a computer screen and not out their window every once in a while?

Haha, I think I remember that one too Sochi. Well, there were a number of incidents last year while I was in school when they canceled classes for the day--and nothing happened. Damned hilarious, but it would suck if you lost a day off for nothing.

Earl was a big waste of time. The most fun I got out of it was taking a walk while it was drizzling, that turned into pouring rain for about five minutes. It's laughable how much of a fuss they made out of it, but if they hadn't, I'd bet you anything Earl woulda come roaring in to prove us all wrong and smash in a few houses :(

Last night I lost my internet service. Did not just leave everyone because I wanted to... Waited about 5 minutes then gave up and went to bed. Will see you all tonight.

Sorry to have been away for long. I've been moving and had no internet for a while and then just no time to sit down and play comfortably for any length of time. Be back soon, hopefully tonight.

I had an urge to tame a corehound today!

I've been kinda leery about corehounds on my Night Elf hunter. And they really annoyed me back when they were first implemented, and he screen shook every time one walked by.

But since I've started leveling Taigi, I figured a corehound might look good with a tauren. Tauren look cool with big pets after all. I considered taming Uvuros, but then I realized that I really didn't like the alien looks that the red or green corehounds have. Then I thought: Kurken! Kurken fits. It looks nice, more doglike, and is sorta spiritual-looking too, and Taigi is starting to have a pattern with spiritual looking 'myth' pets. Humar for sillier reasons and Arcturis for more obvious ones. Kurken is canonically a 'beast of myth' so it seemed like a good creature for Taigi to tame.

Started my trip! No problems, no deaths, got flagged pvp a lot but the only allies I came across were level 20 or lower so no trouble either.

Sadly, I had to let my ravager Inachus go. I haven't used him recently, and while I love him dearly he probably deserves to be free for a bit until I can pick him up again in Cata. I brought him over to that ravager location on Azuremyst to let him go.

Image

And then just when I set him free, this happened ;_;
Image
It was heard-wrenching, but at the same time, I think it was like he was saying, "Hey, I trust you, I'm okay with chillin' here cause I know you'll come back for me :) " And in the meantime he can breed a million mutant babies to terrorize Alli lowbies, so I guess we're both happy with THAT...

Next stop, the tame!
Image

Loved her immediately, she's already got tons of personality (even more thanks to Teigan's emotes :) ). I named her Temperance, as a nod to Dante's Inferno and with a little inspiration from Vephriel too :) In Inferno, Cerberus feeds on the gluttonous and tears them apart. But now that Taigi's got a hold of this cerberus, she'll train this evil spirit to be good, so I named it the opposite of Gluttony: Temperance!

Image

Looking forward to having fun with this pet, it's a brute beaut :)

This is a pretty neat idea. I love leveling characters on new servers, plus it gives me another good reason to create a new Hunter. :3 You might be getting a mail from Lulakita someday soon, wheeeeee!
