I received my little Flabébé figure, and OMG she is so adorable!!! Actually, I received two. The seller sent me two figures instead of one by mistake.

I contacted them to ask how they want me to send it back. I don't want to have to pay to return it since I didn't even want two of them.

I'm kinda hoping they tell me to just keep it to save us both the hassle, but I at least want to try to do the right thing. ^.^

Over 180 Mareeps x.x this is so hard for me to do. I'm going to hate it if I have to hatch 500-900 of these like some of you just to get a shiny x.x It takes so much focus for me to try to hatch a box a box full a day x.x

*hugs* Have you tried looking for a shiny Mareep in a horde battle? They're found in hordes on Route 12, and it's an alternative to the Masuda Method.

I tried for a little bit. What are the chances of a shiny from a horde battle?

I'm so sorry it took all day for me to get back to you on this, but unfortunately, I can't really say. x_x; All I know is that it is very random. One target I found in only 16 horde battles, while another took me 2,118 horde battles. If you have a Pokemon with you that knows Sweet Scent, it's much easier to get them. And it would also be handy to have a 'mon, such as Pikachu, who has Static as its ability for more Mareep hordes and, also, bring along something that has False Swipe. I'm so sorry I can't give better information. x____x;
And, Chimera, that shiny Hoothoot is adorable, congrats on getting him/her!

I'd be wary of using False Swipe, like, for Mareeps it's okay cause they don't learn Take Down till 18 but I've personally stopped relying on False Swipe users for catching pokemon altogether. Rather I'll use a high leveled one to knock the pokemon around my target down, then switch to a low level pokemon with weak attacks to whittle it down into the yellow and switch it out for a pokemon that can use Hypnosis or Shock Wave (Hypnosis being the only thing now that will work on electric types that's non-damaging) to tack on a status effect and hurl pokeballs at it XD
In X and Y since money is reeeeeeally easy to come by, I completely disregard trying to whittle their health down now and just put them to sleep or paralyze and throw my pokeball of choice repeatedly till its caught ^^
(Thank chu! He's a little male, named him Thadrim

Do you need a friend safari one specifically? Cause Hydreigon swoop down in the wild amongst those outdoor ruins on Victory Road with all the cracked walls that one can 'supposedly' break down (I still have no fricking idea how you get the walls down like fffff)
They drop alongside Fearow and Skarmory though both Hydreigon and Skarmory are rare. But I saw like three Hydreigon's before I got mah steal bird babeh xD

You break down the weird looking cracked walls by using Rock Smash. ^.^

In Y, I ran across wild whatever the second evolution is call for Hydrigeon in the cave right before the Pokémon center. They're somewhat uncommon, but not rare.

Same here, and I also watch shiny fail videos to know what NOT to do.
I was a moron (and tired when I originally posted) and forgot about this because I also use my own Aegislash for False Swipe unless I know the 'mon I'm hunting do not know Take Down, then it's my Scyther or Gliscor. *smacks self* And actually, I
never use False Swipe on the shiny itself (another thing I didn't mention in my post to Jurz, because I'm a complete moron...). I use False Swipe on the normal 'mon that's left along with the shiny to see which 'mon is the shiny and which 'mon is okay to KO.
Sleep/paralyze is also another good strategy, but, paralyze doesn't work on Mareep anymore because Electric-type is now immune to it like how Grass-types can no longer be effected by spore moves. Also, avoid moves that hit multiple targets like, for example, Boomburst. Also, avoid using 'mon that have Flame Body/Poison Point/Poison Touch (there's probably others I'm forgetting) as their ability due to the chance of that status being inflicted when the shiny attacks your 'mon with a physical attack. I saw a video where someone nearly lost their shiny Klefki because they sent their Talonflame out and the shiny ended up burned.
The downside to horde battles is that they can be quite stressful, especially when you don't have the placement memorized. So, it'd be good to practice on a few to get a feel for the placement so you're not caught completely off-guard. But even if you do have the placement memorized, always be careful, take things slow, and try to keep a level head (which can be hard to do) so you can think more clearly.
... I've probably missed more stuff, and if I have, feel free to correct me (again), guys!
