I too share the same small concern that the new bones will restrict options, but then the new models do look so much better it's kind of hard to complain. One can and should wish for more though, you always try and better yourself
I remember reading this a while ago and thinking how amazing and interesting it was. The variations are really awesome

Indeed. People say "new tauren looks so cuddly and cartoony" but everything in WoW does. Even ogres look cuddly and "cute" compared to non-WoW ogres.

No sarcasm intended or implied. The only animations that look better are the facial expressions which I really don't care about. For detail, just look at the hair. The new hair just looks flat and blurred compared to the old. The decorations on the braids and horns are also better on the old model. The new Tauren just look softer and less intimidating than the old.
Err....what? The current tauren hair looks HIDEOUS. It's just an ugly mess that seems done using MS Paint, I really don't understand how you can find the old one better
And current tauren horns don't have decorations at all (well if you're talking about those ugly golden things 1-2 variations have...)

Could be because Tauren (especially the ones we play) are generally a peaceful and nomadic race, not a "rawr rawr minotaur" rip-off.

The new Night Elf female model. It's in no way finished, so if you're panicking at how it looks now, don't worry. It's just one of the early previews someone with knowledge of datamining put together, and in no way an official presentation. For one, the textures are too blurry compared to the other officially released models, so that's another indication that it's unfinished. It's just a little preview of what you can generally expect.

If anyone was interested. An amalgamation of edits from me and Reimann. Reimann did the hair and brows, and I did the shitty markings and glow. I did the small part, but I still felt it was necessary.
Looks a lot better already, I feel.

Too much variety in facial detail which we only get to see in the loading screen ANYWAY, and we'll end up with Aion.... a game that suffers so horribly from lag that it's almost unplayable on my computer that gets a great framerate in WoW.

Sorry for being a buzzkill, but I don't think the images of revamped models that have yet officially announced and shown by Blizzard should be posted. Seems kind of wrong.

Y'know, that's actually what got me to sign up for vanilla beta in the first place. It went something like this:
Friend: Are you going to try to get into WoW beta?
Me: eh...
Friend: You know you can play a giant man-cow?
Me: Where do I sign up????
Overall, I like the newer model. The torso is slightly more defined, rather like what we currently see on the Yaungol. I'd kind of hoped for a reduction in Popeye-arms, but didn't really think that'd happen. I've got mixed feelings about the face. Something about the eyes seems a little off to me. Perhaps if they were further apart. Also, if you cover up their muzzle in some of the still pictures, the eyes look rather like they're on a human face. I'm glad to say goodbye to the haystack mane, though the new smoother mane makes the hump more pronounced. I've always kinda wanted Tauren to have a smaller hump, especially the females. As a personal thing, I'd like the nose ring to be a bit thinner.
Oh, and just a personal thing: I always liked the fact that no matter the color of their coat, all Tauren had a black spot at the base of their tails. Looks like that's gone in the new model. I'll actually miss that.
For the most part, I like the new model. I can't wait to see how it looks with other coat patterns and I'm champing at the bit to see the new female Tauren.

I think pop meant that it's premature to criticize unfinished models. While I can understand that sentiment, I also think this is the perfect time to give constructive feedback, as it gives Blizzard more time to respond with changes.

Aside from the ears, I am liking the Night Elf model. Since it's what my "main" is, I am really hoping that the ear's will be...perkier, and not so bulky.

There's one thing I have to say about this NE female....Fix the ears. That is all. We're not playing Worgens, we're playing Night Elves...and the hears just remind me of a mix between bat and wolf ears....

I know what people are saying about the ears, they look pretty freaky. I know it makes sense for ears that large and long to be heavier and droopy but this is a pretty-fancy-fantasy-elf race here!

The ears do look a little odd BUT they look better than before, imho.
Also there's been a tweet about that model.
It's actually absolete now.
"Datamined NE Female model is a VERY old version of her revamp, right before we scrapped most of it and went back to drawing board."

Chill on the NE females...
CG Robinson tweeted that the datamined version was an early version, which they've scrapped and basically started over on.
