That's how toxic people work, unfortunately. You apologize for reacting when they were the ones to make you have that reaction in the first place.
Experiencing that first-hand right now.
Slightly related, brother's friend is over. We're all hanging out in the living room. My dad comes in and says he wants me to go on "snake patrol" - where I walk in lines along the the yard and find snakes to relocate before my dad mows. I briefly tell friend what this is.
"Why are you saving them? They're reptiles."
He literally doesn't think reptiles deserve to be saved from being flayed alive. He thinks all reptiles should die because they don't "contribute to society". Oh my god. I almost punched him. I was so angry I cursed him out- which is something I've never done. He apologized later, but god damn. You do not come into my house and say that animal abuse is okay.

To the fucktards living across from me and to the right of me: OH MY GOD SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!
I despise city life. I am sensitive to certain noises which are unfortunately found in the urban setting: bass from music, and people talking. Neither of which I can stand because to me, they sound louder than they would to most other people. Seriously, they come riiiight through the walls, and I end up feeling like Grendel from the legend of Beowulf. The moron across the street has been blaring his music all. Goddamned. Day. And the idiots who live to the right are rudeass drunkards who sound like a pack of hyenas when they laugh. AND I can't complain because it isn't after midnight!
Meh, thankfully the drunk morons quit, but the fuckwad with the shitty music is STILL GOING OH MY GOD STOP IT!!!!!!!

mother-in law to be needs to realise that as the grooms mother she doesn't get to dictate what photos we take or what we do at our own wedding...especially as they haven't contributed anything so far. Back off!!

I am not even sure how to rant about this rant...
Sometimes it's worse then others, feeling trapped in the wrong form, wrong species...most of the time it's just a minor back of the mind annoyance, but sometimes, like this past week...it gets to be a really strong feeling of being trapped in the wrong form...I hate it, nothings "right". My whole body just feels 'wrong' and there's nothing I can do about it...
Can't twitch my ears, cant thrash my tail, can't pounce on bugs in the backyard on all four, can't yip at the moon, can't just run and feel free...trapped on two legs with stubby ears, flat face, dull teeth and hind legs longer then my front ones...
Frustrated!

Don't worry Makoes, I get those feelings too and honestly quite a lot
especially the ear and tail thing, christ in heaven it's a pain a lot of my frustration with this sort of thing comes from not being able to roll my shoulders and flex wings, even moreso when my back is super super sore x(

The major downside to being somewhat overweight and adapted to a desert...
What do you do when your core temp gets a little high, like oh, doing some light housework....?
You sweat like a goddamn lawn sprinkler. I'm not even tired or ANYTHING and I need like 100 showers. God. Ugh. Whyyyyy...

Have either of you heard of Otherkin? It's a sort of self-identity where you identify as nonhuman. It sounds like that might be your kind of thing!

Man Granddad nearly gave me a heart attack! He just opened the door and walked in he did not knock and so I thought he was a robber XD
He and Grandma came over to use our phone as the landlines around their place are not working and so Grandmas Medical emergency bracelet kept going off :/

I actually already know I am

I'm curious if Makoes knows tho, which is why I commented. Lot easier to connect dots together if you have a starting point

Yes, I am familiar with Otherkin, therians, anthro's, furries...to name a few. I identify myself as being something akin to a fox otter.

it's been a bad week so far
not even like it's been SUPER terrible but it's just one of those weeks where depression/anxiety is harder than usual

Bluh, I've been super overwhelmed the last few days and I can't get to all the people I want to talk to. I'm enjoying spending more time away from the computer, but there are so many things I need and want to do online, too.
WTB smartphone please and thankyou. So done with this "not being able to text" shit.

I'm just going to paste what I said on Tumblr about the whole Gamergate crap here because it is a rant.
I think the things Nash said about the whole Gamergate crap on his Twitter are very good and true.
"Both sides: you’ve made asses of yourselves. Nobody won. Nobody will."
"You don’t win an argument with insults, threats, or snide remarks"
""Gamergate" is less about making things in games better as it is about demonizing everyone who disagrees with your position. If you truly care about games, you’ll step the hell away from this poison issue and build your efforts on something less toxic."
Really the most vocal people on both “sides” of the arguments are just loud vocal asses that make people who play games look bad and make people who don’t play games think we are all sexist pigs.

I have a recording session coming up, rehearsals start next wednesday, and I haven't touched my piano since last May because I've been too depressed and out of it.
and my hands are in agony from arthritic pain.
why can't the good things (like recording sessions) happen when I'm in good physical shape and happy?
why do they have to happen when I've had enough of it all and am on the verge of just dropping it all and getting a McJob?
and why do performance opportunities have to come when I am in excruciating physical pain?

My foster kitten, Pixel, bit me again. I admit, I sort of asked for it, but jesus crispy tootsie rolls, cat, how much of my blood are you going to demand before you stop freaking out every time I touch you.
Now I get to be on infected-wound-watch because cat bites are pretty septic.
My hand hurts. >_<

Is the kitten quite young? Because kittens bite. A lot. And kitten teeth are the worst, they're basically little needles that pierce right through your skin. Kittens are cute little balls of fluff until they dig their evil little teeth and claws into you! Believe me our cat Poppy had four kittens and as soon as they started teething my arms looked like HELL.
