As someone who tends to be ready to respond angrily to "stupid" people, I've found it's much better for my health and sanity to avoid places that I know will make me mad. That's why I usually have trade chat turned off in WoW too.

I enjoy the Water forums. They're chill and supportive. I also go to Sales, Guides and stuff when I want some dragons or cute pixel arts or to enter some giveaways. That's really about it for me. Online communities are hit and miss in general.

Yeah, normally it's okay For instance I found a recipe sharing thread but lately the forums have become a bit scary

It ebbs and flows. I find a lot of 'tumblrinas' are younger people finding their identities. I was a lot harsher as a teenager and early in college. I've mellowed out over the years.

I also find the opposite end of the spectrum in even numbers on most forums. So it's best just to find a happy niche and stick to it.

True, it's so funny IRL most of the people I love and associate with have wide varying opinions from myself, that's part of the draw I really like diversity but I also enjoy respect. When younger I was so lost in my own mind I didn't converse often with others or notice aggressive opinions

I'm in a bind and I need advice asap D:
So I bought 2 dragons. One for 25 treasure, another one for 30. I surfed the AH a little more, then went to go name them before hopping in the coli. Got them to lvl 8 each before taking a break, and when I got out I saw I had a whole bunch of messages saying that there was an AH glitch and they were supposed to be for 30k and 25k, and if I didn't respond they would contact the staff. I'm not worried about that part because it's not my fault.
What I do need help with is that I don't want to miss out on my money now that I've leveled them. Exalting them now would land me 13k or so. I asked if it would be okay to send them back for 9k each instead of sending them back for the 30 and 25 treasure I bought them for, since I have dropped some time and potions on them.
They're asking for 6k for BOTH.
I just sent them a message saying that I could go 6k each, but I have a feeling they will not be pleased about that.
IDK. Am I in the wrong here? Should I just be sending them back? There was a short period of time before I went to go name them and headed to the coli. The messages didn't come right away.
And I did already level them @_@ Maybe I'm just greedy, but since they're just going to be reselling them again, I feel kinda uneasy about someone making money off of free leveling, though it isn't much leveling just yet.

What would you do? I'm kinda stuck.
I'm not scared about them reporting me. I've done nothing wrong. I just don't want to be an asshole.

Pretty much, the anonymity of the internet makes people really salty sometimes and they use that as an excuse to be asses to people. WoW's LFG is a very real show of that.

Offering 6k per is not being an asshole, while they made a mistake you put some work into it so stick to your guns on this ( so to speak)

That moment when you get Poison and Butterfly for a dragon that you're super excited to breed and you find out she's related to her "mate" even thought you checked before you bought her *table flips* It's impossible to find a Mid/Sky/Sky that's not related too! I'm beyond upset about this. I spent so much.

Stick to your guns and let them contact the staff. You did nothing wrong. I accidentally put a dragon up for like 6 treasure once. I realized my mistake after it sold and just let it go. You didn't do anything wrong and don't let that other person hey under your skin. You don't even really need to trade them back, especially if they're going to be an asshole.

I agree... I think we've all posted stuff for the wrong thing (in my case, I posted something for like 15t when I meant gems), but there wasn't anything to do about it.

At least you got them instead of FREAKIN' MORRIS (I still resent this person's existence, maybe they've quit...)

Like. I totally dig that once I give the dragon up, it's theirs. That's cool. I guess I just feel kind of betrayed somehow? Guess that'll teach me to assume or just wait to give dragons away till after dom pushes.

I do think that that person took advantage of you, Novi. I'm generally one of the biggest people to come out and say that once a dragon leaves your lair you have no say over it, however, in the case of that person, to me, that was really rude. At least be honest and say "Hey I'd like to buy/take your dragons to use as exalt bait for a dom push if that's okay with you." I probably would have sent them a message, not being rude, but being like "You know, if you would have been upfront about wanting to exalt them and not lying to me making it seem like you wanted the dragons we could have worked out a deal."
