Yeah. I actually saw it go down in the iri thread, because I was debating giving it a whirl. The person who freaked out at the newbie apparently has done something similar in the past. They don't seem terribly kind to me.

i mean yeah there are those people, but this person literally went off on the newbie with no regards to the fact that they knew very little about the site. the fact that a lot of a people say that they saw it happen + the screenshots of the person ripping into the newbie, that'd be kind of hard to fake, at least in my eyes. :/

i can't for the life of me remember if i sold my twice-dyed cowl, and im freaking out because if i didnt sell it, its gone =( i don't remember if/when i sold it. im so upset .. =/

i'm, also pissed off because my undyne dragon isnt as cool or original as i thought. i looked it up and theres a shit load (pardon langauge) of rideback undyne with the same accent and similar dressing before mine. now i feel like shit. i love her to pieces but i thought she was a little unique. and im sad because im a loser like always lol

I was so excited about my RNG project, and managed to get to... gen 4? Gen 5? But I've been forgetting about them lately. I just finally put my current pair on a nest a week? ago, and I'm pretty sure they'd been RTB for a week or more before that. And then I just finally remembered to incubate the nest. Three more inbcubations to go, probably will take another month X-x

I don't ever involve myself with the FR community except here on Petopia. A lot of them are toxic and a lot of them are from tumblr and I'm not fond of the tumblr community.

The hate for tumblr is .. kind of what I'm talking about. I've been on tumblr for years.

I'm sure to a lot of people, I'd be considered part of the poison dripping into the wholesome well of the internet. A 'special snowflake', if you will.

I'd like to fucking slap people who say that.

I'm pretty much oblivious to the so called FR community since I only hang around on these forums for that kind of thing. Any mentions of community drama goes right over my head, I would never have known.

Though I'm curious and a little bemused about 'tumblr community'? The people on my dash are as varied as anywhere on the internet really, and the content you see is only as good or as bad as the people you choose to follow. It's not like it's a hive mind, it's a huge website with a vast number of users. Surround yourself with blogs you enjoy, friends you get along with, and it's great. I've never had issues myself. Seems odd to lump everyone together when it's likely just a specific type of person or a range/group of people rather than some site collective.

I assume people mean '"Social Justice Warriors"' and the like when they mention the 'annoying tumblr users'.

But I could be wrong

When I refer to the "annoying" part of the Tumblr community, I'm referring to the SJW's. The really obnoxious ones who stand on their soap boxes and don't give productive arguments but think they're doing/saying the right thing.

I know how tumblr works; I had an account for a long time. But my dash became loaded with heated topics and tons of posts of people claiming to be things like feminists but in reality making an utter mockery of those movements. Like, there's a good chunk of people that just seem to go to the extremes and for some reason, a lot of them really like to use tumblr. Plus tumblr is loaded with spoilers for movies/TV shows I'm interested in and people don't seem to care. Those are just a couple of the reasons I quit using the site.

And it's that kind of ilk that has permeated the FR community and makes their voices really loud and obnoxious without listening to reason even when people have valid points.

It's definitely some nasty business, extremely underhanded and most of it happened off site.

I'm clueless as to the fr drama. No idea what happened.
