Although I could've calculated something wrong or misjudged something of course, I'm crappy with maths, but it would be great if anyone could confirm this.
....why is this an issue?

Ah, for some reason the way you worded it to me came off as a passive aggressive snark about how easy it is to get shinies. What can I say--it was early and I'm used to the mentality in the Pokemon fandom that how dare anyone have anything special but them.

Oh god no haha. I'm just shocked at how high the chance may possibly be. I for one am grateful that I no longer have to spend MONTHS on shinies anymore.

I also have two Arceus' if anyone wants one for...IDK...something cool. IDK if one will transfer though because he was from a hacked version of the event (in SS and HG where you could catch him and take him to a cavern and pick from a Dialga egg, Palkia egg, or Giritina egg)

Omfg I just learned that the Xerneas and Yveltal figure collection boxes won't be available outside of NA because of 'safety concerns' with the figure?! So they're replacing it for us with some collection including a giant card instead of a figure? What the heck?! Great. :/

Also someone I don't even know just offered me a shiny Mew wat. They said they're not sure it's legit, so at least they're honest, but I don't even have a regular Mew and they seem hard to come by these days so I'm willing to take the risk. Plus shiny Mew looks lovely.
