Me too. Though, I am only up to like, 400k or so. I just suck at treasure making.

I'm such a hoarder and I love donating and sharing things.

I'm somewhat disenchanted with my lair. I almost want to wipe the slate clean. :/ It doesn't help that work has sucked lately. Carrying a pet down the hall to be put to sleep sucks.

Before you make any rash decisions, take a break from your lair (except maybe to keep your dragons fed for the bonus). When you're feeling better come back to FR and look at your lair again. If you still don't love your dragons then that's the time to start culling.
I hope you feel better soon.

I need to do it but I am a complete sot and hate to do it. Every time I do I'm like 'but I burned a scroll on that one!' or 'but that's part of a pair' or...
... the 'scroll' thing is usually the reason i back out, though.

So in an attempt to rejuvenate my lair, I encounter that moment when I finally saved up enough to re-gene a dragon and I took away the gem primary I wanted to keep. She'll have to stay basic for a while. This is the second time Ive done this. You'd think I'd learn. She did get her thylacine....

I think I may have ranted about this before. If so, I apologize. Anyway, it irks me a bit when I send a polite inquiry about a hatchling, still in it's parents lair, and I'm told that the person was thinking about keeping the hatchling. Which is annoying, but fine. It's their dragon. But then I notice they keep most, if not all their hatchlings and I just... don't get that. At all. Wouldn't lair space become a HUGE problem if you did that? If I was considering keeping a hatchling and someone offered to purchase it, I would instantly think 'well, I still have the parents and can produce another just like it' and help the person out + profit. I just don't get the mentality of these people who want to keep all of their hatchlings. I can somewhat understand that with new players who don't know better, but this particular player isn't even new to the game.
EDIT:
Peridot: I did ask to be pinged if the parents ever produce another hatchling with those same colors, but haven't gotten any response. So we'll see. *fingers crossed*

That is kind of odd.. I mean, when I was new, I wanted to keep all my babies - until I realized I could get sweet dragon money off them (lol).
Did you ask if they'd breed you a hatchling? Or do they not do that either? Man, that just seems like it would be a lot of trouble to keep every hatchling produced. But that's just my opinion.

I hear you Ashaine. Both Tyger and I had kindly asked someone about one of their dragons as it shared an ID with her late husband's birthday only for them to demand a ridiculous price from Tyger (who I believe also got blocked for saying no to it) and completely ignored me. It's sickening when people demand so much for requests especially if that request holds special meaning to the asker. I hope your request to be put on a pinglist is accepted
My own, lesser rant: I keep forgetting to incubate my nests lately. I don't get why, I've always had the pattern of hatching, moving the hatchlings then going back to the nesting grounds to incubate the rest and put another eligible pair on. The last few days I only remembered before I went to bed and last night I forgot entirely. I already feel bad that I won't have dragons to show every day after my cull and this doesn't help

Oh Vare I didn't know you had asked about that PC too; that was so kind of you.

Yeah, that owner blocked me for politely declining spending 15kt on a dragon I had to completely regene. It didn't have any special colors or genes. I offered 10kt--I highly doubt it would have sold for that on the AH. I had been polite through the whole process and then they got nasty with me when I said I wouldn't pay more than 10kt and I got blocked. :eyeroll:
Patriot's owner was really nice though so I got one dragon out of it with Otis' birthday at least.
I'm nervous enough to message people about dragons. I don't see why people use it as an excuse to charge exorbitant prices just because you sent them a PM on their dragon. Yeah, sure, I went out of my way to find your dragon and contact you, but if I don't get what I feel is a fair offer, I'm not afraid to walk away from the transaction. I paid a crazy price for a dragon one time, he spent a lot of time being extremely hard to find a mate for and now he's with Tarn.
As for the person who keeps all their own hatchlings: I don't see that as being that unusual. You have to remember, the devs have said before that that's what they feel this game is about. They never really wanted us to profit off of dragons; they weren't meant to be bred and sold. FR feels that you should be breeding dragons for your enjoyment and for you to keep most of the babies.

Wow, Vare I didn't know that - I had asked them too, they also ignored me. I event send a CR (for 65k) that sat for nearly a month? Before I FINALLY gave up and deleted it. I also blocked them because honestly? Sorry this is rude, but fuck that person.
I really wanted the darn dragon for Tyger but I can't see giving a person like that the time of day, sorry if that sounds mean.
Not like they cared.
I don't ask people to sell me dragons becasue I am literally afraid of being torn apart for 'daring' to do such a thing, I know it doesn't happen often but I have heard about it and I'm paranoid of people yelling at me..
Unless it is some one I know already or trust I mean. I wouldn't be afraid to ask a petopian if they would sell or breed a hatchling and I wouldn't mind if they declined either. Its their dragons.
I always forget about the whole thing about it not being about selling. Thats a good point to remember.
..Sorry I kind of rambled..

Oh you did too? Like, I'm legitimately about to cry that's so kind of you guys to have tried for that dragon for me.

;_; And 65k was way too much so I'm glad for you that the transaction never went through. But thank you so much for the thought and effort. <3 Our little FR section of the community is so awesome.
Yeah, FR doesn't really seem to care about us selling our dragon offspring. I don't personally agree with their stance (if I already bought the parents in colors/genes that I want then wtf would I want the babies? o_O), and frankly I think it's an excuse for them to be lazy and not have to come up with some sort of market. And I say that only because making treasure via the fairgrounds/coliseum don't feel substantial enough for the amount of effort and bugs. And if they want us to exalt the offspring that we didn't want from the breeding, then exalting needs better incentives; all they did was give it a bandaid by adding the daily bonuses.
