I don't want to sound biased towards non-legendaries here or anything, but I can almost always base how easy a battle is going to be by how many legendaries they're using. My recently trained Espeon completely wiped out someone's Kyurem, Mewtwo Y and Yveltal without even trying. It was obvious they hadn't even trained them, they were just using them to look 'cool'. Fair enough, this could be just a kid who wanted a battle online, or someone who doesn't really care for training their Pokémon, which I'm not against at all, but the sad fact is that if you wish to stand a chance at online battles, you *need* to train and raise your Pokémon to some extent. I've had people who've wiped my whole team using a really well trained Mewtwo Y and I've had people who couldn't leave a dent in my Pokémon with one.

Again, I have nothing against legendaries. I plan to train my shiny Entei, Suicune and Raikou (Thanks to Falconcrest <3) eventually and attempt to use them for competitive play, even if Entei's nature is the only one that isn't a slight hindrance, but it's a challenge I'm willing to accept. That shiny Mew I want to try and use as well if possible. I personally prefer teams without legendaries but I don't mind training them for fun if I like them.

Well, some people don't train to the same extent as others, in which case Legendaries can be a big threat due to their high base stats. I, personally, have never properly trained a Pokemon, but that's because of how much longer it takes (it's hard enough trying to catch them all T.T)

I have never once IV bred Pokémon. IVs aren't as important as people make them sound, of course they help, but they're not necessary. When I breed Pokémon, I first try and get one with the nature I want and then I shove an Everstone on that one and breed that to get the ability and gender I want. It's slightly more complicated if I want a hidden ability from a Friend Safari Pokémon, and with my Eeveelutions at the moment being in certain Pokéballs, that means I need a female with the hidden ability in the Pokéball I want... But that's just me being picky. I want Pokéballs to match each of the Eeveelutions. xD But otherwise, once I have babies with the right nature, ability and gender, I take them to the IV checker dude and pick one with a nice IV spread. Often enough I get lucky, for example my Jolteon who has a perfect speed IV completely by accident. I then pick out a nice move set for them, EV train them through the super training and, of course, play with them in Pokémon Amie to make leveling them up a tad bit easier. xD Plus Pokémon Amie makes bonding with Pokémon so much more amazing... I am super crap at that puzzle game though. >___< I'm only really good at the berry game...

Bah, I do need to eventually start catching them all though. I'm crazy though and need one of each and every Pokémon in the right place in the boxes, I don't just want them in the Pokédex, so for that reason it makes things a bit harder and I've been avoiding it. x___x

All I was saying is some people don't EV train ^^ It has become alot easier, but I haven't gotten around to it, and EVs can make a load of difference. All I've done is bred for nice natures and give them a nice moveset. I've been too busy catching them all to care about EV training atm (I check IVs, but, like you, I don't try to get perfect ones. Sometimes I get lucky and do though)

Sometimes I'll breed a few extra babies just to get at least one or two perfect IVs in there for useful stats, but yeah, normally I don't fuss. EV training can get dull I must admit but makes a hell of a difference. Only takes about an hour per Pokémon when you just sit down and get it done with too. I know what you mean though, at one point I went nuts breeding for shinies and my favourite Pokémon that I couldn't be bothered EV training them but I'm kinda crazy like that and all the Pokémon I wanna use *need* to be EV trained. Made it very boring to deal with later on. xD

The thing about this person was...I have a EV trained up team. and their pokemon one-shot them ALL and not in a slow health bar going down all the way, but in a BAM health bar is GONE. I've battled/defeated legendaries before, but these ones were definitely EV trained up.
It's a "cheap" way to battle (imo) and that's why I try to avoid people who stack a team of legendaries.

It's like playing a shooter game, everyone's running around with guns, and then there's that one person with grenades and a rocket launcher blowing everyone up...I watch my BF play CoD and any time someone does that, everyone either tells the guy to GTFO or they leave.

Oh that's quite unlucky. :/ When people do train their legendaries and do it right, they can be horribly tough. I agree, it is a cheap way to win, though I can't say I've ever come across anyone who has all six Pokémon in their team as well-trained legendaries before...

sdnfkjfkjsd that's so awesome! Congrats. :3

So... I've had a pretty shitty day really. All thanks to Sylveon. You were meant to be my favourite Pokémon, Sylveon. >: Seriously though, I spent half the day looking for the cheapest and best place to buy the talking Sylveon plush and when I finally thought I did, right after purchasing, turns out it wasn't even a talking one, just the regular sitting plush. So I've had to cancel my order (it was from Pokédoll USA) and hopefully they can refund me for being stupid. And then after some research into bootleg plushies, I find out the Sylveon plush my sister bought me for Christmas is a bootleg. :/ That's mainly my own fault though, since she bought the one directly from my wishlist which I didn't know was a bootleg at the time. At least now I don't feel so bad anymore for cutting the tag off.

I'll probably buy a legit Sylveon at some point but I'm still sour about the talking one. They cost far too much to get sent to the UK. :/ And after looking at other people's Sylveon collections... *sigh* I started late, I'll never get as much merch as some people. :/ The collections do help me pick out the legit items though as well as what's available, so there's always that. I had no idea there was a Sylveon mug?! I need this.

Thank you, Snowy! And I'm so sorry to hear about what happened with the Sylveon plush! D:

And, Junrei, congrats! Will you be giving out your friend code?

Wow, that's a nice color. Which one is that? Is it a 3DS or 3DS XL?

Also, I'm afraid of battling online. First of all, does it try to match your opponent by the level of their pokemon? Like, I don't wanna battle someone with level 80 pokemon and mine are only 57-ish. Secondly, I know I don't EV train and all that, so I'll probably just get smushed. :(

The battle sets ALL pokemon to lv 50 for equal playing field. That just leaves EV/type/move pools to contend with ^^

There are a lot of people battling or available to battle, all around the world, each with their own play style and varied levels of skill/effort. So, yeah there are some "cheap" battlers out there, but there are also a lot of casual players just having fun.

Diancie officially revealed internationally!

Distribution details unknown.

It is a Carbink that underwent a sudden transformation.

Its body is said to be the loveliest sight in the world.

Carbink are said to gather around it, but Diancie pays them little heed...doing its own thing.

Shiny diancie has darker gray, practically black body...its purple crystals are red on the shiny. The shiny's dress thing is pink.
