Taluwen doesn't take away the names pets already were dubbed with for rp reasons. I really think you should look at it from a different point of view. Also some people like the names rares has. That doesn't make them unoriginal. Just a thought.

The issue with that, at least for me, is with pets like Loque'nahak - there's only one of him in Lore, so you're basically saying that you have the one and only Loque'nahak. :P It's not unoriginal, but it is uncreative - then again, arguing originality on a game where you're limited to 1211 races and a specific set number of skins on mobs who are all essentially the same is kinda dumb. Nothing you can own in WoW is 'original' - someone, somewhere, had it before you.

Then again, I have issues with spirit beasts in RP to begin with, so I guess I'm kinda biased.

OT: BF also has a herniated disc + his degenerative disc disease. I guess it's better than cancer.

I'm just tired of seeing the same name over...and over...and over...and over...and over...AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. :C

Same goes for player names. I've seen enough 'Holycow' pallies to live a life time.]

My little mini rant for the day is about CC.

I zoned into a dungeon run on my rogue that had some pat problems - the tank would pull four, and somehow we'd end up with six. It was crazy, everyone died and I had to pop vanish to stay alive the first few times. And then I found my blind button and decided I'd help out. So I'd sneak up to a pack, sap the one they wanted me to(normally a caster), and the...tank would pull it anyway. I'm not really sure why, but they'd tell me 'sap the caster please!' and I would...and then the tank would charge the very guy I sapped. I figured he could handle it, so we'd just burst it down and then we'd get the same random aggro problem. The hunter would trap one, I'd blind the other, and if we were lucky the CC would sit unmolested for a few seconds before the tank came running over to attack them, letting the other mobs go for the healer.

Despite that, we did finish the instance, and I had fun - I learned a lot about rogue tanking, and finally got around to binding my feint key. I learned how much a rogue can take and was pleasantly surprised that I really can outlast people for quite a while if things go awry. That said, I've also discovered that the 'polymorph lament' is not solely for mages. I think the part of the brain that instructs the average WoW player to viciously beat that sheep/penguin/cat/monkey/turtle also does the same for blocks of ice, people who have been knocked unconscious, and people clutching their faces going "I'M BLIND". I just don't...get it. It is the tank's responsibility to manage aggro and the mobs attacking his or her party, so I guess it's up to them to break CC, but if you're clearly dying and I'm doing everything I can to make it a little easier for you to live, why do you shoot yourself in the foot?

I feel.. I don't know what I feel. I feel like we should have killed the bitch already, and I feel that Rina should get her aeonaxx so she can finally get peace. I feel that I am somehow not enough. Meh.

God I hear you on the holycow thing. It was funny at first but...the dead horse lacks any dust to beat now.

That's the issue with any joke name; you're probably not the first to do it AND even if you are, you won't be the last, and the joke will wear.

What about hunters who never do name their pets?

I don't mind this one at all, probably because it takes me ages to find the 'right' name for a pet. Some of them click immediately, others spend months with no name - or worse: they get a name that doesn't suit them until I can think of something better because I don't want to be judged for having a pet with no name. :P

One of my OCs has a coyote companion who doesn't have a name, although he's more of an ally than a pet - so I never really understood why it's such a big deal in WoW.

What I find that's worse is not pets names but hunters who think it's their right to tell you to change yours becouse they don't like it. If someone wants to give there pet a non rude name so be it let them! Don't tell me to change mine becouse you don't like it.


And repeating this from another thread I just got kicked again for not healing someones PET. THATS WHAT MEND PET IS FOR YOU NOOBS. Way to make hunters look bad. I think the TANK deserves heals more than your stupid cat >.>

El oh el. I only expect healers to lend a hand if they got nothin else to worry about. Like when the healers bored cause theres not much healing to be done.

and yeah. I've had someone tell me to rename my Skoll (His name is Thor) and I told them to F*** off.

Did they give a reason why they didn't want you to use that name?

And yeah, I appreciate it if a healer heals my pet, but it is so not their priority at all. My job to keep her alive, not theirs, and a revive is easy anyway.

I don't mind hunters that don't have names for their pet, mostly because they are saying they are thinking of one.

I've reported a pet name once, and it was a named Douchebag, so I didn't feel all that bad about it. >.> I've reported Ballsucker before too. There's a difference between "not serious" and "Disgusting".
