I got incredibly lucky today
When I moved out of my mother's house I sadly lost my copy of Pokemon Pearl. Today I finally gave in, went to the game store and bought a second-hand copy to play through it to get Sinnoh only pokemon to transfer to X.
The previous owner had left a save file and I was too curious to resist looking...
I now have a legit Darkrai o.o (Pokemon bank let it through) I was never able to get one through events so while it does kinda feel cheap I'm telling myself it's OK because I did like go out and pay money to get the game again >.>

I had to look up what Krillin was but that's not something from Dragonball Z? Cause I have no idea what/who that's meant to be. o.O

hehehe Krillin is from DBZ buut Makoes said that the Electrode's expression looked like Krillin when he's grinning

Krillin is one of my fave characters from Dragonball Z and Makoes you are right that Electrodes face does remind me of him

Honestly I never would've guessed that was Electrode? o.O *still kinda confused* Ah well.

My fiancé has a breeding pair he wants a good nature and nice IVs from but he also wants a shiny and I volunteered to do it for him and I'm gunna regret this, I know it. x'D Hatching eggs for shinies with the Masuda Method is hard enough nevermind without it!

for those that battle with smogon rules/tiers: Genesect and Mega Lucario have been banned as Uber pokemon (pokemon deemed to powerful to use in regular battles. Usually high power legendaries like Mewtwo or Arceus....but also includes Mega Blaziken, Mega Kangaskhan, and Mega Gengar)

Yaaaay! After a few nights of getting consecutive chain-fishings, only to ruin them by screwing up when I'd zone out and move or reel in too soon/late, I finally got a shiny Clauncher! I got it on my SECOND CAST after breaking a chain! I had just told my husband that I was never going to get a shiny pokemon since I kept screwing up my chains, then BAM, my awesome red Clauncher appeared! And it was male! It was too good to be true! I used a Dive Ball immediately and caught it. Yay! I named him Sebastian. :3 His nature is Brave, so he has high attack, which I don't know if that's good for Clauncher or not, but I don't really think I care. XD My first legit shiny EVER, and it's a pokemon I really wanted a shiny for! Now to catch a shiny Magikarp.....but honestly I'm so happy with Sebastian that I don't mind putting it off for a while. ^.^

I'm starting to wonder what's the point of the Megas when nearly all of them are banned. >>;

Banned from Smogon's rules. If you don't play following their rules (I only play competitively online) then you can basically use whatever you want. Personally I find their rules silly. I for one am NOT giving up my Atramedes, my shiny Mega Charizard Y! He's the reason I even started competitive battling because I realised how fun it can be when you give your Pokémon a nice move set and some good training.

Curious what the battle maison is for? It seems to just have a set level thing so you cant use it to level pokemon....can you?

You get BP (Battle Points) from the battles and they can be used to buy items typically used for competitive play. It's also handy for testing out your Pokémon.

Nothing else of benefit besides that?

Unless you're into competitive battling I doubt you'll find it very interesting to use.
