The Widow's Wail caves are on the eastern shore of Jade Forest. The beasts in it are level 90, which suggests it's probably for Cloud Serpent faction dailies or something (?). The caterpillars are random spawns form attacking the webbed objects in the cave, so you could be ages in getting the pink one. It's easier to just go to V4W and tame a Mutated Silkworm, or a Spotted Caterpillar of the right colour in TLS. At least then you get your choice right away.

Thank you! I'll have to hunt one up tonight

VEB: Docile Porcupines all seem to be the one colour (olive green-brown) now.

Vicejaw is 91, so no longer tameable, even though he's flagged.

I hate to be a pain/derail but I'm trying to make a list of pets to tame/keep/abandon and I just wanted to ask whether or not this scorpid is still tameable:

http://wow-petopia.com/look/hordescorpionamber.html

I would love to tame it and I read a while ago that it was tameable. Could I get someone to confirm for me please?

... /facedesk. I totally somehow forgot the list on the front page, even though it's the whole point of this thread... >___< I blame being tired. Thank you anyway Kalli!

So... I am looking and I see from the first page that it seems that only the green Madexx skin is still "unique".

Is that correct, or am I missing something?

In a semi-related note... Are there any "OH!! I got to get that!!!" tameable beasts (rare or normal) in MoP as of right now? If there are... what are they?

I had to take a hiatus from WoW for awhile and even though I got into the beta I had not had the urge to jump on... it seems that my Madexx hunting and my dad passing away around the same time last year has affected the wife enough that I may end up losing my best friend (wife) over the way I acted and the things I did during that time. There is more to the story, but I have said enough. I may not even play WoW after everything settles down... if that ever happens.

Yes, that was indeed correct, unless a green was added recently.

(Ironically, I released Green Madexx a few months ago. >_> I wanted Blue)

Yes, green is still the only rare colour (unless the blue ones have been removed, but I know I saw red and black still, in this last build).

I'm really sorry about your real life issues. But it sounds like you're doing what you can to make it right. I hope it works out!

Wait... Red Madexx won't be unique anymore? D:

Great Cranes (KW) are black now. I think they were for a couple of builds but I forgot to note it.

There are a couple common mobs who use the red madexx skin in Dread Wastes.

... What's the point in having a rare with lots of different collectable skins if they're slowly gunna make them all non-unique?! -.- /rage.

We've had this discussion ten times over already. -_-

Sorry for not being there when you did then? And I didn't want to start a discussion about it, I was just expressing my irritation.

Wary Forest Prowler - level 84 Pandarian tiger, brown, neutral, tameable. In Honeydew Glade and surrounds when you do the Horde intro quest there. Not sure if they'll still be visible later or not.

A few quests later and they're replaced by Sha-Infested Prowlers. Exact same stats, as above.

Also, at that point, Jade Snapping Turtles appear! So they weren't entirely removed! I wonder if Alliance will also see them once they're up to that phase (even if they start in a different area). They're in Spiritsong River, up in the Honeydew Village area. Exact same stats as they used to have.

If someone has done the Alliance starting chain enough to get the portal to/from SW, I'd love it if you could fly up north to Honeydew Village and see if you can now see Jade Snapping Turtles and Sha-Infested Prowlers in the area, or if it's a Horde-only phase.

Thanks :)
