*sobs horrendously* First shiny I find in a Safari is a Teddiursa, cause I'm trying to get a shiny Eevee out of my bf's safari. But guess what, cause I have a Modest Gardevoir at the front of my team to try and get my Eevee with that nature, this little bugger has that nature too. And as an Ursaring, it's physical attack is huge and has a very shitty Sp. A. It's both Modest and Mischevious so it's practically full on trying to compensate and be a special attacker when it will never achieve the same level as a differently natured one. Also I really freaking hate like, nearly, all the green toned shiny pokemon Nintendo brings out. Only one I like is Hydreigon. Teddiursa and Ursaring aren't an exception like Hydreigon. They're just so gross aaauuugghghhhh TT_TT I don't know what to do with it. She's female w/ Pick Up and lvl 30 like all other Friend Safari pokemon

No problem, and you're welcome! I'm sorry if it takes a while, my luck in friend safaris tends to vary. sometimes I find shinies in hours, other times it takes as long as months. Do you have a preference on gender and what ball you want it caught in?
Not really on either. I use Salazar for males and Nagini for females, provided you mean Seviper. My current one is a male named Salazar. He's a powerhouse and is THE powerhouse of my team.

Yup, sorry for not specifying, and I have those names noted. :) Is there a specific nature you prefer for a Seviper? I'm starting to think about breeding one via Masuda Method instead.

I have a feeling that you'll get that shiny Kabuto to show up, Snowy. The last time you were this determined to breed a shiny, it appeared for you not long after. Here's hoping it'll happen again!

Jurz, I can try to breed one for you if you'd like, it's no big deal, and I love helping people get shinies. I'm taking a break from MM breeding at the moment, though, but I'll be going back to it this weekend for Zorua, so I can go back and forth between the two no problem. :3

Glain, I know that MaximumOverdrive's friend safari has Seviper as one of the three 'mon you can get. Do you two have each other added? If not, I could always try and get a shiny one for you from there if you'd like.

I won't lie, I honestly wish I could transfer some of my Y luck to my HeartGold and Black 2 carts. I've been hunting Johto starters and Cresselia on the side for a little over two weeks now with no luck so far. I know the shiny rate in earlier generations is higher, but I've yet to find a shiny on my HeartGold or on any of my Gen V games. @_@ Gonna keep trying, though!
You really don't have to, but I won't argue >> I'm going to get one eventually, but my shiny luck is slim to none T.T

Trying to motivate myself to play Plat and...UHHG!! I'm not even at the second gym yet and I wanna die!! so bored!!!

Oh, geez, I'm so sorry for not seeing this till now! I'm honestly not sure myself. ^_^; Looking up the stats, Seviper can be good at both physical and special attacks. Which do you prefer?

Umm I'm not sure because I normally use Poison Fang/Tail but also Venoshock and I think the first two are physical and the third is special. My Sevipers are normally tanks that just posion all they can. I always use the instant poison attack as the fourth attack. I doubt it's very smart to go 100% poison attacks but it works for me and I dont know what else to use on Seviper.

If you run Special Attacker, Poison-type attack options are Venoshock, Sludge Wave, Sludge Bomb, and if you give it a berry, it can use it up for a heavy hitting shot of Belch (however that move only works if the pokemon is holding a berry). I definitely suggest teaching Flamethrower because Steel is immune to poison so having a Sp. A Seviper w/ Flamethrower will easily shove them out of the way before they can do any harm. IIRC most steel types can learn a damaging Ground type move, which Seviper is weak to. Definitely have a Dark type move too. Dark Pulse should work beautifully cause there's a lot of nasty Psychic types floating around too which it won't last long against

I won't be able to breed Dark Pulse onto one, unfortunately, unless I go back to Gen V and mess with that. x_x

And... *facepalms repeatedly* I ran into a shiny Whirlipede in Maximum's friend safari just now. I already have a shiny Scolipede, so I don't really need another one. Would anyone like her? I caught her in a dusk ball, she's Bashful with Poison Point, and her characteristic is alert to sounds. Phase two, begin!

I'll pass on Whirlipede, they're gorgeous but I can't see myself using one!

Also HISS this stupid shiny charizard hunt is going to drive me mad! I take breaks from Nuzlocke to hatch more eggs and aaaaaaaaa I am so sick of Charmanders by this point. x.x Must... get... shiny.

Quick question by the way- if you put a pokemon in Pokebank, can you access it on a different game, and will it have that annoying Traded leveling speed? (AKA if I were to get a pokemon on my Y and put it in the bank, then retrieve it on my X, would it level super fast?)

Dark Pulse can be found on Route 15 in X/Y :3 It's a little awkward to get to, you'll need Cut, Surf, and Waterfall and its pretty out of the way

Ooo thanks guys! Will take that into account when I get the Seviper. Belch is cool but I hate always using a berry. I will take her Falcon! I have a Scolipede on my team but mine is a male and shiny Scolipede is one of my favs! I'll need to think up a name for her. I also couldn't get her till Wednesday. That's when I'm available/have a stable internet connection.

Yea, I was able to move my Cubone from my cartridge of X to my digital of Y. You'll get the option if you are able to access both the actual games at the same time to choose between them, otherwise (like if you have a cartridge of each), you just interchange them according to what game you want to access the bank through. It still counts as trading cause they're separate files regardless of if you have two X's, one of each, or two Y's so it will get the exp speed increase (eggs do too I'm pretty sure so you'll need to breed it in that game if they do)

I just looked it up, and Seviper can learn Dark Pulse via TM in Gen VI, whew. I'll be sure to go get it sometime, unless Glain already has the TM in her game.

Sure thing, I'll set her aside for you! :) And yes, shiny Scolipede is awesome. Out of curiosity, what gender is your shiny Abra? You sounded like you didn't really want it in your one post, but please ignore me if I'm wrong about that. ^_^;

I don't have Dark Pulse yet. I'm at the Pokeball factory now so possibly soon. I'm sorry I should have specified. I gave away the Abra to my boyfriend who only wanted Mega Alakazam so he could name it IceCreamMan. (Soft facepalm). He's a dork but he's my dork. The Audino went to a friend from campus who's obsessed with Audino. I'm sorry. :(

Hmmmm, alright, thanks!

One last question- will it count as trading if I hatch a pokemon, put it in the bank, and then reset the game it was hatched on? I want to try a solo run with shiny Charizard (though I might toss in a Mightyena), so I want to hatch my shiny, then reset my game and get those 'mons out of the bank. The exp boost would be a pain though.
