It's a bit tough to see what they look like from the perspective, but yes, those do look quite neat. The only one I'd be a bit iffy on would be Tsutaja... he just looks like a bigger version of his first evo, while all the others got some cool new details. :| Ah well, it isn't real, so it's not bothering me.

I'm quite excited for September's Corocoro magazine. It's apparently going to reveal a whole bunch of new pokémon! Though I can't remember if anything was going to be revealed about the starter's forms...

Saving my money for the Japan release. I am surprised though that they havent revealed more on the start's evolutions aside from thier basic form and the concept art on the water and grass' next stage evo's.

I really like the fire versions evo in that pic, it makes it look tough...I am not one for pigs that walk on two legs like grumpig...And the grass one, I am hoping it will be a grass/dragon, that'd be a unique combo, the water fighting is only shared with Poliwrath, which is an interesting pokemon to use.
But, hmmm wonder what the Fire starter will share a type with...ghost? lol now THAT would be an interesting type...maybe Dark, like houndoom...Flying? hmmmm possibilities...

hmmm if the pokedex starts back at 001 (or 000 in the case of Victini) I wonder if, and if so, which of the past (our current) generation pokemon will apear in the wild in the games. I hope they will fix the caves so that we are not inindated with zubat/evo's and Geodudes and such...

I'm guessing Pokabu will be Fire/Dark, or just Fire. Fire/Dark because his ears remind me of a bandanna, like a bandit. Fire because there's sometimes one starter with a pure type. Like Bulbasaur in Gen I, and Treecko in Gen III. A pure fire type hasn't been used yet (Save for Cyndaquil, but that doesn't really count considering that all of the starters remained pure Grass/Water/Fire).

But Fire/Dark would be much more fun, aye? :)

Apparently, The creator of Pokémon (Forgot his name...) stated somewhere that no old Pokémon will appear in B/W until after you finish the Regional Pokédex. No Tentacool, huzzah!

actually bulbasaur is the only starter that never has a pure type in any form *nerdcorrectionsyay*

@Makoes: My forum timezone is UTC-5

anything in particular you want for Deoxys? I have a all of Platinum's naturally available legends except Articuno, Dialga and Palkia. Or you could send it to my HG char, who has Jirachi, Kyogre, The Beasts, The Latis, The Johto birds, The Kanto birds, and Mewtwo.

wanna do the battle(s)/trade today? 7:00 pm my time?

You can just trade me a junk pokemon for it. It's on my platinum game, same as my Team ready for battle.
7pm, thats ~one hour from the time I am writing this, sounds good.
will do the trade first and then run out and nab the battle team and then we'll see how good that are...single or double, or same as last time with a double first and then a single?

so..I know we have a thread called "You know you play to much WoW when..." Well...what about pokemon? lol I just had a moment in WoW when I looked at my health and mana and started running towards the Pokecenter (the Inn) for a quick heal...I was very confused for a minute trying to remember which game I was playing lol.

Same as last time will be awesome.

Oh, yeah. Whoops.
How on earth did I confuse Squirtle and Bulbasaur? I blame it on being rushed. >_>

Squirtle, Treecko, and ALL Johto starters are the only ones to retain pure typing through both evolutions XD

http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/team_builder is an awsome place to see what your teams are strong/weak against.
I use it before making my teams so that I can cover my weakness'. Also helps me decide which moves to teach my pokemon.

Thanks for the battles, you did a really good job of keeping me on my toes in those singles.
Unfortunitally fire and ground where my main hitters and you had big weakness to those.

I'll see about getting a few different teams together so if there are large weaknesses like that we can switch around to more even teams.

wait.if theres not going to be ANY old pokemon till the national dex then that means no magikarp.
i was kinda hoping they would (finally) add a third form for that family that could actually freaking FLY but i guess that wont happen.at least not in this gen...

well, you never know. After the national pokedex, you might be able to uncover some new evolutions to some old forms...reminds me of when they maked *made new evolutions for the electabuzz, magmar, megnaton, togitic, tengala, rhydon.

Yeah, I'm sure some new some new evos for old Pokémon will be made. Heck, there's a Pokémon that is without a doubt a Luvdisc evo that was revealed.
I dunno if another Pokémon will be added to the Magikarp line... Gyarados has some pretty good stats. I don't know if you can make it any better without it going into Pseudo-Legendary territory. Though it could learn new attacks, possibly of the Flying type.

Hah, if any Pokemon needs an evolution more than any other, it's Banette!!! It's counterpart, Dusclops, who was already the better of the two, got an evolution in the 4th gen, but Banette pretty much got nothing! I see NOTHING fair about that! ... Not that I'm complaining about Dusknoir; I love the thing. But still! *Flails*
