As requested, some shale spiders I was most concerned with creating the two missing basic colours: blue and yellow. I also created an aqua, magenta, very pretty light green, peach, pink and two whites. Note the coloured prismatic effect on the legs of the second white one, and some subtle prismatic rainbow effects under the eyes of both white ones.

WOW. Those shale spiders are absolutely gorgeous. I'd tame the first blue one, the grass green one and that last white one in a second! And you know, maybe the second pink one, too. So pretty!

i would tame the 2nd one (aqua) and the very last one *drool* Jadefang would have friends and id be more inclined to use shale spiders (jade has been sitting in the stable for god forever ._.)

The most surprising of those is the green and pink wasp. The colors are so very bright and obscene, yet I can't help but love it. I would totally rock a pink and black fel boar, I love the little lavender face on the monkey, the gray spore bat has an awesome deathly look to it, and the dark red core hound is just plain wicked.

These are all so cool!!!

It's possible to mix sporebat colours to make loads of beautiful skins.

But there's a reason I've only posted a few up till now.

Unfortunately it seems that sporebat skins are somewhat low in quality. If you split them into individual colour channels, parts of the red and blue ones come out ugly and pixellated. This seems to be mostly hidden in the three sporebats that exist in database, but if you blend the colour channels in such a way that a pixellated channel becomes prominent then it becomes obvious. Sometimes really badly. You can see this with a really simple colour channel swap on the skin. I don't know why this is, but I can only guess someone screwed up a bit when the skins were assembled and performed some low res. transformations. Who knows? No other skins I've seen display this problem.

Anyway, despite all this, I've decided to post some more. The pixellation isn't very obvious on the small images anyway. If only the skins were higher quality they could be amazing. As it is, they're still lovely to look at and give an impression of just how diverse sporebats could really be...

I am definitely still biased in favor of the sporebats with bright glowing bellies. Those are my favorites, especially the pink one for some reason. The colors remind me of Nuramoc's, only prettier.

Playing with fox skin blends tonight to try to create something novel but credible. Not sure I'm 100% happy with all of them, but they didn't turn out too badly. The yellow one looked much nicer before I added the Petopia green background, I swear.
