Oh god and I've been in a heroic for the past hour. *cry* Let's hope I didn't miss him.. :P

well so far no luck on my US server. there has also not been a mount for sale on either faction, and it looks like no one is camping it for most of the day. the reins are still not linkable, which i realize is iffy, but all the other mounts start out as being unlinkable after restarts etc and then become linkable at some point. just not this one!

72 hours (3 days) after realm restart on Wednesday and an 11 hour camp it finally spawned.

In case you have not seen this on Wowhead already, I began a Poseidus tracking project via Google spreadsheet that tries to help aspiring owners to share information. Anyone can edit the spreadsheet if they come across new information for each realm.

You really should make it so they have to contact you first with the information, so you can edit it into the spreadsheet

In the interest of keeping information up to date, I'd rather have it crowd-sourced rather than requiring people to notify me. Because I'm not online 24 hours a day, there would be some delay in uploading new data. Additionally, some people are also just lazy.

dunno if it helps at all...but saw Poseidus swimming above Glimmerdeep Gorge today on Eonar server. Was too excited and missed the time I got him >.>

I was just thinking of all the trolls, you know. Always assuming the worst. xD

There actually hasn't been that many trolls, only one instance last night. I haven't really made this link widespread. So far, it's only available through 3 pages on Wowhead and on this forum.

The idea of spreading the spreadsheet actually goes through some reverse psychology. You want to spread the word out so that people will report their kills so that others can easily track when to camp. However, you don't want to spread it too much or other people who are not aware of Poseidus will come camp as well.

It all evens out where the only people who know and check the spreadsheet are those dedicated enough to camp Poseidus.

poseidus was found on my server (zul'jin US) around midnight-12:15ish tonight, in the already known abyssal depths location

i was told by a guildie of the guy that killed him, and that information was verified by others (also the guy was selling the mount in trade)

interesting side note: the reins had been unlinkable since 4.1, until right when they were looted. methinks that is a little more reliable than people give it credit for.

Well, there's a reins on the AH right now for 200k BO, so obviously it's been downed on my server. Nice to know things are (hopefully) working now.

Loronar, I linked to the spreadsheet (with credit) on Ponderances forum (TLPD and Aeonaxx resource). Not many visit it, and those who do know about the rares anyway, I highly doubt anyone will troll on there.

Eugh, was up until 7 am camping this mount, went to sleep, woke up & it was on AH. 150k. GTFO WOW.

The problem for people who actually want this mount (unlike camping for TLPD or Aeonaxx for instance) is that you can/will get campers who are going for their 3rd or 4th Poseidus because they have been making good money on the AH selling the mounts. With TLPD or Aeonaxx, once you have the mount, theres no point in camping for it again. Therefore after some time, the # of campers would decrease, even though for Poseidus they will decrease as well, but if its being sold for 150k or so, i know there would be some players who go for it multiple times

this is really bad news to me. it basically means that now the zone is going to be FULL of profiteers.

Still it makes me awful cranky that one has to also deal with those just camping to sell it, rather than for personal use, as others have said...

Gah, I can't imagine how harrowing it must be to want a mount that can be farmed and sold...I think it would have been better off as a BoP item, the ridiculous competition this will create is just terrible for people who want it.

I've gone mad trying to get Aeonaxx for myself, still without any luck...if he could be farmed by everyone just wanting to make some gold it would be even more difficult.

Yeah, this is gonna be a tough one. Thanks for the well wishes. Good luck with Aoenaxx. I honestly think camping would break my heart, so I'm doing laps periodically.
