Aye, I would tame them regardless, however those breaks would bug me after a while.

I think Veph nailed it with the word scrutinize. Even the actions of real people and animals can look weird if you freeze-frame them, stare at them intently, notice all their twists and bulges and flaws. In combat you'd barely notice that unless you were really looking for it.

Mmm, that's probably true, especially since most of the time I'm staring at my pet's butt anyway.

Only trouble is though that stags are very slow with their attacks, their upwards attack like the first pic kinda has a snapping action (it kinda shoots its upper half into the air then slams down again-- least to me when im fighting up close), im not sure if they're on a 2 second attack speed or not tho like hunter pets

Yeah they're pretty slow.

Well, if they could normalize pet attack speeds, couldnt they do that for stags?

I imagine they would if they became tamable.

I dont know stag/horse attack speeds so for all i know, it might be on a 2 second pause cause sometimes when they're hoisting their body in the air to land on us, they seem to attack faster then when they simply try to push you down like pic #1 (or was it the other way around... cant remember that part now) because the physical animation is slow, not the speed, least i think thats how/why, its been a while since i took the time to take those screenshots and im currently just half posting, half making my bed to sleep

Stags / moose just feel like mounts to me... or beasts of burden maybe.

I just want to point out that Veph has made this thread by working the term 'rutting' into it :D

Honestly, I've wanted to tame a stag ever since I started playing back in January of 2006. When I saw a Shadowhorn Stag for the first time, I was floored, and was so sad when I found out they weren't hunter pets.

I, however, do think Malorne's skin should remain unique since he is, as it has been said multiple times, a major lore figure. In the case of Har'koa and Loque'nahak, Har'koa may be a demi-goddess herself, but she is considered a minor lore character. Having a duplicate of her model, to me, seems to be far less of an issue than having one of THE Malorne.

Overall... Stags. Yes please. I don't care if it wouldn't make much sense with my worgen hunter, who'd likely consider it lunch, I'd love to see them tamable.

Addendum: If they can't be tamable, making them an accessible mount (outside of reindeer) would be amazing.

Eh, I think we should keep Malorne model untamable. We're getting some pretty awesome things already- pets stay with us while mounted in BGs (and next patch likely everywhere else), practically un-tamable Ghostcrawler and the Tears of Loyalty, some people are even happy cause pet happiness was taken away. Think of those :) and now looks like hydras are gonna be tamable soon.
Plus, if Malorne was tamable, you could practically never use him on a role-playing server. "Oh hi, this is my pet stag, he's Cenarius's dad." >.>
Now I have nothing against regular stags becoming tamable ;)
