Find out what class the Troll is, perhaps he has some abilities that could help you both.

He's pleased that you offer an APOLOGY, and accepts it. He has no idea how he came in here, and therefore, has no idea how to get out. He's as baffled as you are.

Bazzul is a MAGE! The both of you can have four abilities each, and he's able to perform FIREBALL, FROST NOVA, CONJURE FOOD, and POLYMORPH: BLACK CAT. He also has the innate ability ARCANE INTELLECT! As he's currently feeling generous, he casts it on the both of you. You gain +5 INT!

Have him polymorph you into a cat so you can sneak through the windows, or perhaps the bars on the lower floor?

Ask him how long polymorph would work.

You ask him to cast POLYMORPH: BLACK CAT on you. However, it seems that his kindness was misplaced as he is now out of MANA! He has nothing in his inventory to help his predicament either.

Then see if you can fit through the iron bars downstairs, perhaps undo the lock from the outside.

Well polymorph is short, so I'd wager it's gotta be one or the other. I'd say to try the slits/windows.
