Honestly, I wouldn't want the old models revamped, not unless the player races were updated first. The day that a 7 yr old tiger model gets an update and replacement before my Trolls and Night Elves, is the day I personally weep.

But I see no point in a revamp of the old models. People obviously like them, why replace them? Even if they don't look shiny and new, that's alright. Not everything has to be super detailed. I see no reason to suddenly replace the STV tigers with this model when Hunters will be able to (most likely) just go out to Panderia and tame one.

That doesn't mean I'm against some sexy recolors (oh god yes, aqua tiger and white tiger please!) but I definitely don't want touch ups or revamps of the old models. Even if there was a character revamp (like suggested at Q & A), I think having a variety of recolors of the new tiger model would be better than replacing models.

Just my opinion on that matter =)

I think blizzard was thinking about revamping the character models.. I think I saw that somewhere..

Some models could use an extra tlc is all im saying, dont have to be so hardcore realistic.. just a little tweak is nice. And not to all of them, some are fine but some really need it. (the lions, hyenas etc.)

Old creature models don't really bother me. They're actually kinda charming. But I agree that some racial models definitely NEED an update, especially humans and orcs. They are the centerpieces of the Warcraft universe and the poster children for their respective factions... but they look like the rejects from a bad Playstation game.

Human females aren't as bad off, but human males have tiny heads and a weird posture that makes them stand/run like there's something up their ass. And as much as I love orcs lore-wise, their cross-eyes and scrunched up facial expressions kill me. I don't want them to look pretty, but I also don't want them to look mentally handicapped.

As someone who's main is a male human, I couldn't agree with you more. I made Kalhoun look the best I could, but... I tend to not zoom in on him much. Same goes for my male night elf.

All pre cata races and ill assume worgan human form too, are going to be changed in some manner, to be able to bend and strech when they get to be monks

Dwarves. I love my dwarf-girl, but she's a bit blocky. And really could use a good, supportive bra.

I want it. Just... want it. The eyes! the tiger-ness! Love it. I have a blocky old kitty and I loves him, but damn that looks good. I wonder if they make them in the black(dark brown) version?

Such a pretty kitty. Its so nice to see Blizzard updating some of these skins, whether it be rare or an update to all, I look forward to it. :3

So I wanted to see this tiger model compared with "Shango"

I always saw him as the most stunning of the sabres.. but omigosh maybe comparing them side by side was a mistake. xD

I still like the overall shape of the older(right) model's head better. While it may be a bit blockier with sharper edges, it just has such a nice look to it. I still can't get past the goofyness of the new face. The eyes and forehead are fine, it's the nose/upper lip area that really bothers me.

Still like the new one and if I'm still around then, and have a spot open, I'd be sure to add him to my collection.

Shangos eyes are much more beautifull.
But yes i too am falling into the PLZ update old models bag.
but i dont want a ginormous change, Just better fur texture and softer edges.
No Sambas/fox hairgell fur though..

I'm still a fan of Shango and the sabre model in general, it's just amazing how pixely and outdated this new model makes it look. XD
I went to the zoo recently and watched the tiger for an hour at least (4 cubs were recently put on exhibit, and omigosh they are too cute) and was comparing them to this model. I just love how more realistic looking it is. I think Shango has more personality so far but I'll deffinately be giving this new tiger a chance.

after seeing the cranes and tigers i have to say the tiger model i think is the most gorgeous tiger model ever and is easily my fav tiger model, sambas would easily beat that if its mane didnt clip with the rest of its body.

I would easily replace my aqua saber cat with the new tiger model if there was a reskin of the same color and its eyes would glow like the violet and aqua saber cats did, i really like the green and white cranes the most out of all the other cranes.

The cranes look very elegant and somewhat frail although thats most likely how they naturaly look.
