Aye, you certainly don't have to have a romance going if you really don't want one. :) Play your character however it's most fun to you and you'll find the game immensely more enjoyable.

Well, I do want one - just not with Doc. But then, I haven't gotten him yet either, I've just based my opinion of him solely off of what I've read. Maybe I'll like him if I give him a chance. Or, maybe I'll decide I don't like him, and just wait til they release more companions. Bottom line is that my sentinel is just too darned fun to give up right now.

I more meant that you could always pursue a romance on a different character if you end up not liking Doc. If you're attempting to stick to lore in anyway, Jedi technically aren't allowed to have relationships (unless you're aiming to be a Dark Side Jedi) as their code strictly forbids emotions of any kind.

I know it's forbidden to love, and my jedi is all light side right now, but darn it if Luke can do it, so can I!!! Just because a Jedi loves doesn't mean they're automatically going to go to the dark side like the Order would have one believe. But, we'll see. I'll just have fun and see what happens.

Well yeah, it's your character so ultimately you can do whatever you want out there; I was just throwing out some options for you. :)
Also, this is a vastly different time frame than Luke's, but if you wish to attempt a romance as a light side jedi because that's how you're having fun, then by all means go for it.

Well yeah just say your from the future when the Jedi order was run by Luke (I'm sure we talked about that one here XD). There ya go you can marry and have kids now :P Crazy funky jedi kids. Heh timetraveling Jedi

Or...just do it and ignore the mainstream acceptance. Republic Jedi run into the Jedi padawan couple in the starting area early on - it's not like you're alone in that.

No time travel necessary...

Well really, depending on how serious you want to be about the RP, that's the more realistic approach. ;)

That's true Kalli, I had forgotten about those two. I turned them in, though. How much of a hypocrite would I be?! Oh well, back then I was a sweet little padawan. Now I'm a knight, and I'll do as I please!!!

I think that's what I meant. Knight is the class, Master is the title or whatever. I was tired.

 I dunno I got mixed up proberly. I was pretty drunk last night I'm shocked it came out right XD. But lore wise I know you have to be a knight before you become a master or what not.

And NPCs refer to me as "Master Jedi", but I think I was taking it the wrong way. Orgus Din is a Master, I think, as well as Satele Shan. I think I'm still just a lowly Knight. :P Who knows. We're both confuddled!

I don't know what the exact Jedi rankings are for in game, but on the Empire side, you start off with the Acolyte title, then you become Apprentice, then Lord, and then Darth. I know the Jedi have one for their system as well, I just don't know the exact names of the titles other than Padawan. My guess is maybe Padawan, Apprentice, Knight (?), Master (?); again, just guessing. :)

Well I know lore wise the rankings go as this:

Jedi: Padawan,Knight and then master

Sith: Apprentice then Master (this is not just with Darth Bane's Rule of Two doctrine, also known as the Banite system.) Most sith are Darth's that's like a name thing. It means "Dark Lord of the Sith" XD It's useally given to you by a master.

Most Sith are Apprentice's to a master. You can be a lord but your still an apprentice IE Lord vader is an apprentice.

But I can understand them changeing that for the MMO tho (even if other things set in TOR do otherwise as in follow what I said )

EDIT: Again I don't know 100% but that's what I can remmber I could allso be wrong  so correct me if I am XD
