There's blue posts. I think that can end any arguments.
If only it was that easy. :(

I'm not arguing, I'm stating my disappointment in Blizzard from a customer service point of view..
But of course ya'll always think that someone who has a different opinion than yours is arguing and out to get you.
(Not directed at you Jessibelle, you're a lovely person so please don't chew me out)

Course not, Nili <3 I agree with both sides. They could've worded it better but I personally am not gonna get all in a twist over it now cause we see what they're gonna do and so long as get a beta invite, I'll be happy.

Awww. No.

I don't think anyone's out to get me. I can understand being a little disappointed. Part of me kind of hoped I'd get the invite today too.

I guess I just look at it differently. I don't see it as Blizzard doing "wrong", but I understand you do, and I'm sorry you're disappointed. I was meaning more to say, don't be too upset. The invites will come and soon! You'll get in shortly. :D

Nah you're cool Talaridan :) Just a few people here felt the need to demean other's opinions, you didn't do anything wrong. You were cool throughout this thread. I know I'll get my beta invite eventually, I just wish Blizzard had been more clear..but I won't be signing up for any more of their deals or contracts again.

No, I agree. I mean, technically they didn't do anything "wrong", but it was definitely slick and they should have been a bit more upfront. To me, it wasn't exactly unexpected. I signed up to get the mount, Diablo to play, and to get a Beta invite eventually, so it doesn't bother me.

But if I had signed up mostly for the Beta, I would probably feel rather irritated too.

Just so you know, every time you log into WoW and you scroll down to the end of the ToS and Eula agreements, you are signing a contract with Blizzard to play their game. When you hit that accept button, you've signed a contract with them agreeing to their rules.

Just so you know I'm not a complete derp and I'm fully aware that. I don't appreciate your tone, if I'm perfectly honest...assuming I'm some sort of idiot who doesn't know what I'm doing..who doesn't know how to read. I'm aware they're allowed to change whatever they want whenever they want, but this isn't the contract I signed up for. I signed up for instant access like they said, and was disappointed in their business changes. I am perfectly capable of reading comprehension..unlike some people here........

I am not intending to be nearly as condescending as you are, but when you make a statement like "I'm never signing one of their deals or contracts again" it makes it appear as if you've forgotten that just playing the game signs you into a contract with Blizzard.

And just to point this out, you were complaining about people with an opposing opinion than yours as out to get you when those of you on the defensive have been acting much the same way, but since it's hard to read tone through text, this whole thread is practically a cesspool of people assuming they're being attacked. Look, you're mad you didn't get invited into the beta the very second it went live, I get it, but the opposing argument has done nothing but provide reasons for why Blizzard is doing what they're doing. Regardless of whether or not you want to accept those reasons does not make them any less valid nor does it make anyone here "the bad guy" and I'd appreciate you guys getting off my back like I'm here to eat you or something.

Do I think the complaining is a little silly? Yes, I do. While I completely understand the frustration of their vague wording (which Blizzard *always* does on purpose), you're *still* guaranteed your invite into beta and it'll probably come within the week. Other people, like myself, aren't so lucky. Because we didn't want to sign into that contract, we have to hope that our opt-ins are good enough to get us into beta. At least pass holders don't have to hope they'll get in, it's just a matter of when. And I'm sure it will come soon and hopefully there will be more to do than a crammed 1-10 starting zone when you do get in.

No, but you were intending to be condescending, so you can take your tone and shove it. :)

Actually, I'm not, but if you'd like to keep thinking that, be my guest and you can take your tone and shove it as well.

You just admitted that you were intending to be condescending, which is not discussing, it's belittling, and I'm sick of it. I think you deserved being told to shove it, if I'm perfectly honest. Your entire post was to try to demean my opinion, like you have several others here.

I am aware that I have a contract with Blizzard to play this game, but blunders and slick trickeries like this make me want to almost quit.

This thread is starting to get out of hand! Why can't we all just be friends? u_u

My two cents on the original topic; Blizzard could've worded things more clearly. They were a bit vague either on purpose or unintentionally. Maybe on purpose because they didn't know honestly what they can or cannot promise at the time and maybe unintentionally because to me it seems they mainly advertised the pass as "free Diablo 3" thing because whenever I would see an ad for it it would have a huge Diablo 3 logo or picture on it. (Not to mention that during Blizzcon they said at the very beginning that they didn't want to divide people on where-ether they'd like to buy Diablo 3 or keep playing WoW so they're offering them both in one bundle.)

Imho, no one is "stupid" or "wrong" if they're unhappy with badly worded advertising, but neither are those wrong who are saying that when it comes to beta testing things will be rough around the edges and won't work pristinely.

I have had no intention to demean *anyone's* opinion, but I can't stop people from thinking that, clearly. You're going to think what you want to think so whatever. You haven't exactly been the most kind person yourself in this thread so don't go around acting all high and mighty.

I apologize if my opinions come off harshly. I have a forward and dry way of speaking (even in real life) and it makes people read into my posts the wrong way. If you want to think I'm attacking you, fine, but don't act like you and others in this thread are all sunshine and flowers.

Just want to say before this spirals further out of hand, that much like you guys don't appreciate feeling like you were being attacked, neither do I. I had no intention or goal to attack anyone. I also am not fond of being treated like I'm the only one who had some bad judgement in choosing their wording on matters. I sincerely apologize to anyone who felt like I was attacking them, that was not my goal. In attempting to provide an opposing argument and point out what I thought were flaws in other people's posts, I only served to make myself look like a jackass, and that's not right.

Hopefully the pass holders all get their beta invites soon, and hopefully it's not a total lagfest.

You're not. Your posts actually made me laugh. Too frequently when someone disagrees with his/her opinion they automatically feel like they have to go on the defensive, even if the person disagreeing did so in a polite and fashionable manner.

+1 internets for Tyger

Although I am eager to get into beta to start taking a look around. I am happy that I havent gotten in yet. Seeing the post where all those wonderful beast do not yet have "tamable" tags on them, I'd rather get in later when those tags have been added so that I can test out the beasies, and hopefully find some new ones.

I am completely stumped on how people can be mad that they havent gotten in yet considering the beta just came out. people with annual passes are garunteed an invite (no-where did it say they would get in right away), and its not like beta is going to be over and done with tomorrow. I honestly just dont get impatient people.
