In Cata we had Terrorpene, Ghostcrawler, Karoma, Madexx, Jadefang and Sambas at launch right? And at least 1 per zone. So I'd expect similar from Mists.

EDIT: I guess we should look for the same in Jade Forest, Valley of the Four Winds, Dread Wastes, and Karasang Wilds. Does anyone have a search group I can join (can always make a premade on another server)?

I should go to bed. And I can't fly on the hunter. But... so tempting! Does anyone know if non hunters see the tracks itselves?

Hmm... I still think they should have a long spawn timer. Otherwise it'll be very simple and way too easy to obtain them.
It's not like the "rare" vs "elite" tag matters anyway; the "rare" frame is basically just asking it to be killed, and as we will only see them on hunters now, we don't need that anymore.

This may seem "easy," but once you start trying to follow tracks in Jade Forest, you will change your mind.

Sounds cool. I'd most likely not do it but sounds interesting.

Something feels off about all this to me. I guess I got my hopes up too much. Each expansion we get new families, of course. But for launch "rare" tameables, I was thinking unique models, not unique skins. Loque, Jadefang, Sambas... all unique tameable models for launch. These we are finding here though are existing models, just recolors. And if the pink crane and white strider is coming up, then we have already seen those. I used a pink crane to level with lol.

We get a lot of neat stuff, and this is a very very cool idea, I guess what they ended up being took the wind out of me sails. Only a few have been discovered, so I do still have hope for spirit beasts of the crane, yak, and tiger gods.

Edit: not trying to sound entitled, this is all really exciting still.

To be exact, it's the adorned cobalt one! I was hoping to see that skin used along with the unadorned amethyst.

They may flag them as rare later? Having them up all the time would make discovering them a bit easier...

Jadefang was a recolor by your definition, Quivering. =P And there are no more pink cranes, they've all color changed--so one of these hidden ones may be the pink skin. Marticar and Boglash also color changed.

I really like this idea. I always like hunting stealthed mobs, and Ghostcrawler was my favorite tame of Cataclysm, with his large path and phasing. I find tracking something down more interesting than camping a spawn point.

Yes Jadefang wasnt the best example lol but still. Sambas, Madexx, Loque... some just stood out, even among all the new pets and families.

also finding tracks in Dread Wastes and Krasarang is going to a paaaaaaainnnnnn. The ground is so dark.
