You have no idea how many hours went into tracking him down multiple times for all aspects of that video!

It may look easy, but that's just a bit of movie magic.

Although I did have a fairly easy time of it both times I actually tamed him myself, so it's not all terrible.

Good luck!

Patrannache was by far the hardest rare I have tracked down. His footprints are not easy to see, and his path is huge! Don't give up!

Persistence is key with this bird. I tracked him for an hour and a half the night I finally tamed him. I almost quit and gave up two or three times. I'm glad I didn't because now I have him and I never have to do that again, lol.
Once you get a nice set of tracks just keep following them and use the maps on Sam's website to follow the trail. The tracks will show back up again eventually if he remains untamed. I did a small zig zag over the expected path and sometimes the tracks showed up where I didn't expect them to. You will find him if you stick to it! Good luck!

I haven't tried looking for Glimmer, but I haven't had an issue seeing any rare tracks so far. Turning your graphic settings to low REALLY helps (especially ground glutter)

I just helped a hunter track and tame Stompy, then a bit helped another tame Patrannache and Savage.
I dunno maybe because my settings are so low the tracks stick out plus knowing the exact path some of these rares take is helping a lot. That or not many people are interested. I've seen active hunters where tracks were and they didn't care when asked about it.
That said if anyone (alliance only for now sorry

)who is finding this an impossible task. PM me your realID and I'll be happy to help track a few rares on my realm. Currently lv89,so not even bothering to look for the 90 rares just yet

I had the same problem with the crane. It's tracks were so damn hard to see, I just said screw it and sat at the end of his path, chain flaring. Second flare it got him, so you can try that.

Well up till now I found savage and bloodtooth(during leveling)
when I hit 90 I started my search for glimmer but I never found him till I decided to un phase Jade forest after that I found him quite easily.
I found portent 3 times now (the jasper, jade and cobolt version) I release the jade one but kept the others the last one I found was Patty and OMG that bird definitely knows how to troll most tiny foot prints in combination of bright green/yellow floor = major migraine lost the tracks multiple times around the mushan area finally managed to flare the moffo out at halfhill >_>
that one was definitely the hardest of all of them.
but I am glad I got all the ones I wanted

now to wait for the silkworm

A tip for those who don't want to patrol the entire route for Patrannache is to wait on the south side of the little marsh area with the seagulls and cranes with a flare up. There's a choke point that Patrannache goes right through just a tad west of the road down. It may take longer, but you're guaranteed to see him if he is up.
