In case anyone needs them, there are also now standard Petopia formatted images for the new devilsaurs, turtles, triceratopses and the albino tiger (600x600px, background: 220, 255, 220). They're on the Petopia server, but haven't been linked yet. So I'll include them below. Click on the thumbs to view them.









I haven't added the "spirit porcupines" yet, as I'm not sure if they're done. There's actually three different colours of them in the database, but no matter which you choose it currently just shows that blue appearance. Presumably they're still working on them.

In case anyone is interested, the other colours of the spectral porcupine are green and red. Maybe if you combine all three you get a white one

To give you an idea of the shades, this is what the skins look like on the opaque model. So as spirit beasts they won't look nearly so bold and saturated. So don't judge the final product on these!

As a comparison I've also included the blue spectral skin on the opaque model.

Something keeps telling me that those could be the perfect companion pets to release during Feast of Winter's Veil. It's like, the perfect Christmaspines.

Just decorate with tinsel and some lights, and a few shiney balls and you have a port-a-pine! For the adventurer always on the go. Just be careful trying to retrieve your presents from under it...

This may be a useless factoid, but we haven't actually seen multiple colors for an exclusive spirit beast model often. Only Gondria (Ankha/Magria) and Skoll (Thundermaw/unused so far) have had multiple options - and those didn't even pop up until later expansions. Karoma's skin could appear in more colors in the future as well, but since the skin was initially an accident and not actually planned as a spirit beast in that regard, it's a slightly different situation.

Do you think one of them may end up as one of the legendary pets? We have a thunder beaver... a fire-spirit (red) or nature-spirit (green) porcute would match him nicely, methinks :3

That's a fascinating idea, especially since we DO have a spirit crab minipet.....although if they're as transparent as the blue one, this would be the first truly spectral minipet.

Hrm. I'm not sure if the armoured devilsaurs will be tameable... I can imagine them as bosses and maybe mounts, but not tameable. Hopefully they are though if people want them.

In their defense, we can tame armoured boars, wolves and raptors. At least currently. (Plus the fact that they recently added the tameable monkey with a fez, if that counts?) I think the developers opinion about hunters taming pets with "accessories" has shifted somewhat. Then again, these new devilsaurs with armour on do seem a tad too fancy or lavished to be the usual potential pet material? Regardless, I would love to tame one! I really dig the headgear they are sporting. Would be a perfect partner for Beast Mastery troll hunters imho.

Before anyone assumes I'm simply not wanting these devilsaurs to be tameable because I don't personally want one, that's not the case. It would be cool if they were tameable, though I wouldn't tame one myself. I just assume that the armour looks a tad 'fancy' like Yoruko here said. It seems like *too* much armour. Imo it looks a little... silly. I'm just wanting to warn some people who seem to think that these devilsaurs *will* be tameable, when there's a good chance they may not be. I could be wrong with assuming people think that but I've always got slight vibes here that some people think that all new models of beasts or animal-like creatures (basically anything that's not a humanoid) will be tameable. And they end up disappointed. Although it is completely possible! I don't want to put anyone's hopes down, I just don't want anyone to be disappointed in the end up either. (:

IDK if that was a Jak and Daxter reference, but regardless... they'd need a yellow for me to accept that.

I'm wondering whether the green porcupine will turn out to be green-green like Banny or white-green like Ankha.

Maybe they'll just be one that's a color changer like Madexx....man someone call the ghostbusters one was creepy enough on its own.
