Interesting that they add a special "black lightning" icon at the same time as a new rare black lightning serpent NPC Surely that has to be the source.

I presume the other two are mounts from the Timeless Isle as well...

A gold heavenly serpent feels like a Celestials reward, but if I'd had to guess I would have expected jade from them. However the gold is very beautiful. If that turns out to be the source I certainly wouldn't complain!

My best guess for the black mushan is that it comes from Ordo, since Yaungols ride mushan and world bosses drop rare mounts.
But... unless it's a special new model then it would feel a bit flat to me. Because: (i) a world boss already drops a mushan mount and (ii) fire god with dark mount? Meh. A flaming mushan or yak would perhaps be more fitting. But I realize I'm building on pure speculation here. There are other rares on the island, including rare yaungol.

FYI, the "black" mushan is actually dark blue. This is it with all four possible saddle colours:









The blue saddle is probably the most harmonious combo. The red saddle makes it look like Santa Mushan

Also, just updated the list with Greatfather's Riding Turtle. The object to teach it was added to the 5.4 database. They seem to be preparing for Christmas.

The model is currently just that of the original Riding Turtle, which is presumably just a placeholder. So we currently have no idea of its final appearance or the source. Winter Veil is still a long way off, so it's possible details will take a while to leak out.

We'll have something up on WCM as soon as we can, though.

Sha dropping the Heavenly Onyx doesn't make much sense to me, so hey if Ordos likes to romp around on the Christmas mushan in his spare time, who are we to judge

Perhaps the black mushan is a new "normal" BG mount you can buy with honour? I said before we havent had a new PVP mount for awhile (aside from the RBG ones) so maybe this one will be added as a "Panda" themed one.

Ooo, now that's a good idea! And a real possibility. Pandas could really do with a pvp mount. All the turtle colours have already been used for mounts, except the Tron one, so a mushan or crane would make sense. And mushan look meaner

Then again, there are no goblin or Gilnean pvp mounts yet. We need a black war trike and black bareback war horse

As of todays PTR build 17191, the Storm Crow mount has an item: http://ptr.wowdb.com/items/104011-stormcrow

It is listed as requiring level 20. Isn't that indicative of a Store mount?

I hope not, as it will be one I won't be getting then.. the more of the store mounts we get, the gladder I am that I have TLPD..

Why on earth not? I have all the store mounts and alot of rare drops I farmed in game...what differece does paying for it make?

Yeah, but it's the item that teaches it that is set to level 20. Apart from old low-level mount items, this is usually only present on store mounts. It doesn't mean it is a store mount, just that the suggestion is there. It's also possible that the text is currently inaccurate. When a developer creates a new item, they'd probably usually copy an old, similar one and then alter it, and sometimes not everything is altered right away.

The new patch also suggests that the next arena season (13) mount will be a new cloud serpent: Tyrannical Gladiator's Cloud Serpent.

So far we only have the name, which can be found in the new achievement. We don't know the appearance or anything else. A placeholder for it will be up on WCM soon.

It also could be a tcg mount as they often start at lvl 20 (even if they fly like the ghastly charger) but if its either like Qinni I will throw money at my screen lol!!
