Tried that.. it sadly dont work for some reason.. shall i just extract all of the folders into the Steam Library\steamapps\common\ARK ? .. when i try to open it it launches google drive and folders which i dont own and i dont want to extract into. and when i suggested an "all blood off option" ppl just laughed at me :(

Question to the extracting mathing

Like I said I haven't tried it myself so I don't know if it works, :S but what I understood from the post you're supposed to just extract all the files from that google drive into the main Ark folder, which looks like this for me;

you do your best and i appricate your input. :hug: i figured it out .. you need to put the files in the LAST folder into the same named folder in your ark .. but WITH the mod it still look like this GORE WARNING incoming - the splash effect is gone but the blood is still there.. Every chop adds a blood pattern.. which again on the larger animals is quite... disturbing.. this was only as big as a trike..

There should be an option to disable blood overlay too somewhere in settings? Though be warned that while you dislike it it does tell you the health of your dino - easy to tell how close something is to dying by how bloody it is.

I don't know if it applies to the blood in your SS though. but hopefully just the splatter being gone helps a bit

Only thing I could suggest is maybe just don't harvest dinosaurs with tools, instead tame something like a raptor, rex, spino etc. and get your meat/hide that way. Once you get enough dinos, you have one for pretty much every job... And when you're on the back of a rex or other dinosaur the bloods a lot less in your face. Not to mention they are more efficient anyways at getting more of the material, and have more carry weight. I can't remember myself hand harvesting much at all.

At least keep axe/pick harvesting to a minimum; axe would just be a last resort if you find yourself without a dino.

Wait, have you been trying to disable the general blood option? I don't think there's currently a way to get rid of it entirely, but you CAN disable Blood Damage Overlay in the options. I believe this will general disable the bloodied look when you're attacking creature. Since how bloody the creature is, is a indication of their health. Again, I don't think there's any way to get rid of it all together without possibly crossing into mod territory.

In the five whole minutes I spent on my computer yesterday I noticed that Ark is launching dino-less servers. Maybe try that? Or as Lupen said just don't harvest them. :hug:

Once you get an argentavis taming some of the smaller dinos get really easy; can just build a pen out of window walls, pick them up with your argent (like the moose for example) and drop them in, then shoot them through the windows. :P
