Old world stuff that is tameable today that wasn't last time:
- Cliff Stormer (Stonetalon Mts), a red stegodon.
- Stormsnout (Southern Barrens), a red stegodon.
- Thunderhead (Southern Barrens), a green stegodon
- Stegodon (Un'Goro), a black stegodon
- Spiked Stegodon (Un'Goro), a black stegodon
- Plated Stegodon (Un'Goro), a light stegodon
- Thunderstomp Stegodon (Un'Goro), a blue stegodon
- Margol the Rager (Searing Gorge), a black stegodon
- Thunderstomp (Southern Barrens): a rare and unique light green and yellow stegodon
- Void Wurm (Halls of Orig.), a black/pink void wyrm - both IDs are tameable, the trash mob and the add
- Mana Leech (Mana-Tombs), a blue-silver mana wyrm
- Brightscale Wyrm (Magister's Terrace), a blue-silver mana wyrm
- Mana Snapper (Netherstorm), a peachy-silver mana wyrm
- Burrowing Thundersnout (BRD), a stegodon that can come in green, red, blue or black
- Sandreaver Drone (Talador), a yellow sandreaver with red markings
Haven't yet found Gruff (rare, green stegodon, Un'Goro) , but I expect it'll be tameable too.
Not tameable, though would have expected them to be:
Skum
Nether Beast
Phase Hunter
Ironfur Steelhorn
Greatback Calf
Sungraze Mushan Calf

Gruff. He was wagging his spiked tail happily and ironically.
Thunderstomp, a unique pet with bright and friendly yellow spikes of death.

The sizes are overall better now, but I do wish the sandreavers were a little bigger. Obviously the first version was way oversized, but now they seem diminutive.
I'm not sure why Blizzard seems to enjoy shrinking down the various creepy crawlies so much. I rarely use scorpions and never use spiders because they are just so small!

Yeah. I hope the Sandreavers get a little bit bigger. They were undoubtedly too big before, but right now - they feel a bit tiny compared to the larger races. It seems to me like they're crocolisk size at the moment. (which - I guess makes sense given the shared skeleton), maybe that's just a default they resorted to for now.
And yes, if the new spider model (not the rocky ones, the mount one) becomes a tameable wild beast as well, and I really hope so, then I really hope they'll be substantially sized.
Lastly. I think updated Sandreavers would look really amazing. Sandreavers probably look quite nightmarish to most as it is, now imagine an updated model and texture based on the Emerald Nightmare appearance. I'm fairly sure that'd fit quite well in with the whole theme. Maybe I should suggest it.

Tekton in Elwynn Forest is tameable:

And apparently you can use it's exploding ability to one shot anything:

Tekton is HILARIOUS. It's clearly a bug. He retains his trick taming ability, which is to blow up and one-shot everything he attacks. Including bosses of any level. I don't think this will last much beyond the next patch

I think I can share info I've received that "composite" models are technically unsuitable for taming. By this I mean any creature that is composed of more than one model, with the pieces strung together. Thankfully there are relatively few of those, but it does mean the existing crystal scorpion model cannot be used for a tameable beast

. Its stinger, antennae and some other parts all exist in the database as separate models. Hopefully one day they'll make a unified, non-boss version that can be tamed

Ahh. That also means that the current Iron Juggernaut can not become a pet. More likely, they'll use the mount model for that.
About the Iron Juggernaut model as a mechanical pet:

Seems like they might end up being that.

I've wanted tameable yaks since I saw them on Mists beta... between them and gnome hunters, Legion is going to be like Christmas for me
And if the speculation up there about being able to tame and build our own Kor'kron Juggernaut pans out... I don't know if my brain can withstand this much awesome.

As a Blood Elf, I have to say that I heartily support Mana Wyrms being tameable!
I have dreamed of those since I first saw them.

Oh yes, thanks! I don't think I worked out which they were.
It is kind of odd, in that generally pack versions of animals aren't tameable, but I'll record them

They definitely are, but thats the trade off for us getting to tame them now. It was similar with some of the stag models. Maybe one day they'll be updated. Every xpac seems to have a pass at updating older models.
