The panic is kinda nice in some ways. I ended up taming the clutchmother regardless of her status because I finally came to the realization that I had always wanted her (she was the first rare spawn I'd ever seen in WoW)....I just hadn't had a name. ;)

This whole Soriid thing has me strongly considering a silithid for the first time!

Neato! I'm not terribly fond of silithids to begin with, and I don't really like the look of this new skin, but I hope it transfers over regardless. It'd be nice to see some new variations :)

Not that I'll be taming it, this guy just isn't my thing really...

I just tamed Sorriid on Live, but I gave him a name. Does anyone know if naming him would cancel out the new skin effect? I wouldn't know why it would, but I don't want to take any chances either.

I'm an optomist. I think they may leave it as is. How long before/after Cataclysm comes out I dunno.

BC was Feb/March (it was pushed from a November release), and WotLK was released like a week before Thanksgiving (in the States) in November.

Taken from wikipedia the release dates were
WoW - Nov. 23, 2004
BC - Jan. 16, 2007
WotLK - Nov. 13, 2008

So, it does seem safe to think it will be November through January. Though with Activision around they will probably want to push for a pre-Christmas release whether the game is to Blizzard's standards or not.

They've pretty much guaranteed that it will be released in 2010, so I don't think it would be as late as January.

November seems most likely though, so that's what I'm gauging for.

I hope that they manage to bring it out in November, my guess is January if you see how far they are now with the game.
And the fact that Starcraft 2 in released tomorrow.

I agree, the Silithid family would be so interesting if they used some of the alternate models. They could all function the exact same, but the variety in body types would be fun.
