Im still looking for Loq and Arc to finish my vintage Wotlk spirit beasts collection. Found Skoll last night and went to check for the bear and cat, nothing there oh well... will keep looking, Grats on your tames

\o/ Whee! I'm not sure if I should be surprised or not, at the so small number of hunters looking for this guy.
Might be that people don't like crabs that much. ;_; After all there're some really pretty beasties out there..
Or, more likely it's just because it's Christmas and so few people are playing.

When I start leveling my alts I will probably be parked at one of the many spawn points of all the rares incase I log in and something's up.. :p
But rare pet hunting is fun.. I have become an addict of npcscan.. xD Must hunt them xD

Does leading someone to Madexx count? I do flybys to see if green or blue is up but - we got someone a black Madexx.

The theme of the topic became spirit beasts because it was only those I found and gave away as I weren't in Azeroth at the time :p Whatever rare is being given away for tames is great :p

Maybe I should change the name of the title to something like "Rare pet give-away!" or would it be too confusing?

I got to give away a King Krush today! (Isn't it special to give a green dino on xmas?)

While gathering herbs to level alchemy (I dropped skinning for it...), BWAAAAAAAAOOOGAH! King K! And nary a hunter in sight! D: So I poked around a few channels and got a tell. I let King K beat on me while the NE flew over. A haste pot and a few well wishes later, an elf and his green dino were united.

Came across Grunter for the third time now, and once again found a hunter that wanted to tame the little boar. However, I've found out that the domesticated helboars that dig up tubers on that 'farm' in Shadowmoon Valley should be tamable as well, and they look just like Grunter's new model.

Today, a brown madexx! I don't know that his owner was happy. :/ He wants blue too. Oh well. Better tamed than killed I guess. I think I'm becoming the bug lady...

Awesome! Darn Sambas, I like him the more I see him. At first I hated him and his floofy mane, but his face and details are just lovely. I already have a name picked out for him, too. Once I get my green Madexx, I'll probably end up sitting in TH til I get Sambas. /sigh

Aye, I actually felt the same about him at first, the floofy mane was just a tad too much. But after I saw him on my friend's side, damn he looked so nice. <3

Haven't seen so many rare pets in a while, have been leveling alts and such. Anyway, found another skoll while flying around, and found a hunter to come and tame. While waiting for him to get there, a warrior and a dk came by. The warrior had a hunter which he really wanted skoll for, and I added him so I can tell him if I see another one. The dk just came by to talk it seemed, and none of them did anything to even take away aggro on the blue lightning wolf.




While I do not care that much about giving away old world rares, I figured, why not. Found the lazy ass just sleeping under his tree and had a guildie come over and tame.

I got to give away my third Aotona yesterday! I was doing my 'rare patrol' for peeps and bumped into her. Funny how she seems happy to pop up now that I've tamed her!

Oh we have a thread like this? Goody! I wanted to keep track of giveaways somewhere and it never occured to me to look for a thread like this doh.

Let me check mine and I'll post (not to brag, just to hope for a good karma ^^)

And I have yet to even see that bird, wild or as a pet. She is just never there :p But now I have a hunter that I will actually search for her on. ^^

I don't know if there are other bigger threads like this, but this is the only one I know of. It's been a little dead for a while though. Oh, and I believe in good karma for giving away rare spawns, so keep it going

Nice amount of give-aways btw Also it seems that hunters in general care more for northrend or cata rares, but the old world rares need some loving too! <3

I approve of the name change It's a great reminder that just because you've tamed the rare doesn't mean that it won't hurt to keep an eye out for it so as to give it up for adoption, so to speak.

Unfortunately, no further rare give-aways to report on my part. Found both Gosh-Haldir and Ashtail up at the same time recently (Nix and Lord Condar were flying around as well!), but it was at such a late hour that I found nobody nearby, and decided to madly level my level 12 hunter on that server to 16 in order to tame both of them myself.

Oh, if someone feels like contributing, they can swing by The Razza's spawnpoint. It's in a rather remote location (check Wowhead), and the chimaera will be getting a unique skin in 4.0.6

I do keep my eyes out for the Razza. I've seen him twice. Once when no one was interested and I couldn't find the Hordie who wanted him. So I let him be.
