I had decided yesterday that I really wanted The Beast as a pet. It was a kinda spur of the moment thing, but I just couldn't (and still can't!) get him out of my head.
Unfortunatly, I'm a total noob when it comes to raids. Never done one. Ever. Plus, I'm only level 65, so I've gotta wait at least one more level. So, I caved and tamed The Kurken. But it's not the same, and now I want The Beast more than ever.
I have a few questions for you guys.
1, How do you get into a raid with only two/three people? I've tried, but it says that you need to be in a raid group. Is there some way to turn a regular group into a raid group that I don't know about?
2. Are any of you paladins or shamans Alliance side on Frostwolf? Once upon a time, my guild would have been happy to help. Not so much anymore, though. I do have one paladin that would help me (my mom), but I don't know of any shamans. Actually, I just plain don't know any shamans on Frostwolf.
Anyway, I know it's silly to try and tame him at such a low level, but I think it'd be fun. And I'm prepared for the repair costs. C:

To turn a group into a raid, press O, and then go to Raids. Click Convert to Raid. I cant help with any of that other stuff tough, never tried for Beast.

Thanks so much! I've been trying to do that for weeks!
Can't farm Zul'Gurub mounts with only one other person if it's not a raid group!

It's always fun to try at the lower levels, it gives such a rush when you get so close to finishing the tame when you are killed.

I originally tried my tame at 67, got close a couple of times but had to call it when everyone else logged for the night.
But anyway....I would readily transfer my shaman to help you if she was around the level needed to be helpful (been level 44 for years <_<). Otherwise, I would recommend just /who shaman when you've got all the other preparations taken care of and politely asking if they would mind helping you, explaining the situation so they don't assume you are a gold seller, power-leveler, or a beggar.
If you don't mind me asking, what sort of preparations have you already taken to help with the tame? I want to help as much as I can, even if I'm on a different server.

Here's a trick for soloing raid content...
1) Ask a guildie to log onto an alt they aren't using.
2) Create a party and turn it into a raid group.
3) Have that guildie log off the alt and back on to whatever toon they want to work on. (It will show the alt as dc'd, but will still think it's in the group.)
4) Now you will be in a raid group alone so you can solo the raid and your guildie can go work on whatever toon they want to. (That's not the alt in your group lol)
A guildie of mine do this all the time. Works like a charm.

I finally tamed "The Beast"! Solo too! No it wasn't easy either. I failed on a couple occasions thinking i was cocky since I solo tamed the elite Uvuros at lvl71. I am lvl80 and even at a gs of 5100 i failed 10times! I had all the haste gear you can get and still I failed. Well folks here is the smartest thing to do as a bm hunter. I searched the ah for lvl 80 gear with stam haste but mainly sockets. I managed to find 9 pieces(cloth-mail cuz armor doesn't matter) 8 of which have sockets and gemmed with haste ($$). Now I have a taming set(which every hunter should get) for king krush when i meet him again! I also have 2 trinkets with haste the lvl245 triumph an another bought with honer pts. base haste=739 fully buffed with scroll of fortitude, both potion of spd elixir of lightning spd, trink and food haste=1751! My tame was down to 10-12sec! The process is simple but it will take several tries. this equipped it took me 9 times! I filled up with crocs gorillas and rhinos 5 pets each time. Stand in corner by hay so can't knockback, send in pet with misdirection shot scorpid sting, beastial wrath so can't be feared for 20sec ,abandon pet hit trinks an potion of spd and tame. Macro'd is easier! Pray! you can get like maybe 3 trys then your health will be low so feign death and try again. Here a pic link, pic was way to large to put on here(whole screen)

I got mine solo last night. I had a couple friends who tried to help me but they kept getting agro and I almost killed him a couple times trying to establish agro.
I finally went to Dalaran and checked my bank for some of my old armor. Fortunately alot of the tier 9 had haste on it, so I went back with a hodge podge set of armor with my innate haste almost quadrupled from a whopping 91 to 430. Cooked 2 stacks of Imperial manta steaks and bought 15 haste potions.
I read that if you go behind the haystack in the NW corner you wont get feared. This appears to be true, although id did nothing to stop the knock back interrupts. 8 potions, 7 haste trinket clicks and multiple Feigns, I finally got him. I think I had like 600hps or so left when I finally saw the big gold sparklies to show he was mine!! I let a whoop and a holler and I had to spend 20 mins explaining how "just a video game" could get me so worked up. It didnt work=/. Anyways, thats my story!! so Ive been very lucky the last 24 hrs, although I had to sacrifice Loque as part of the tame process. =)

The Urge finally hit me and I had to promote my Ancient Core hound to a boss level Beast. What I didn't expect was the challenge it would become. I had plenty of health, son that wasn't the issue. It was trying to fit the tame between those meddlesome charges. After several very very close calls, i took a break from UBRS and when dungeon crawling for a badge trinket with a haste Use: That alone might have tipped the scales, but i wasn't done. I roped my brother into bringing his shaman along for sweet sweet bloodlust.
Our first attempt, my less than brilliant sibling attacked the Beast in self defense when he was hit with a charge. this led to a series of frustrating 2-3 seconds-left attempts where the Beast would turn to hit the ignorant shaman at the last second.
After diplomatically explaining to my brother how the taming process worked, and his more than passing resemblence to unflattering body parts of barnyard animals, another attempt was scheduled for when sated wore off.
Cooler heads prevailed this time and my brother's chargable presence bought me the time i needed to secure my new boss-level pet! God I love this rush!

grats on the red doggie

very cool pet. I released my ancient corehound (quite used and tired pet

) when i failed an attempt to tame King krush (wanted a devilsaur, and one very few had...not a white, black or red one).......tamed aotona just because, later on to replace it......and that got dumped when i did get KK......now to get blizz to add some more stable slots for us again, i'd tame another red doggie
