No. i've had people in the area but most are nice and keeping their eyes peeled for me.

I've seen him north of the rock on the PTR two of the three times I've seen him.

Alright I've come to this conclusion....

~ GM only sees if the mob is in the system. They don't actually check to see if its functioning properly.
~ One of the hotfixes(which technically are patches, just tiny ones) must've broke Deathmaw on live. We may be SoL til the 4.0.6 patch.

For the record, both times I've seen him on the PTR were south/southeast of the rock.

Still no luck here. >.<

We're looking for him on Live servers too.

Im still going with... nope hes not tameable on live as of yet.

Though I swear I did see him on the ptr for the shattering.. maybe in one of the "fixes" he got glitched somewhere, and got lost.

OCJ had been spotted in beta too; there were screenshots! He spawns in an archaeology area, though, and arch has been tweaked since Cata's release, so my guess is that that's when he disappeared. I can't back that up, though. >_<

I haven't seen him at all on Live, as I said, but as I also said, it may be down to the bots farming the area nonstop.

so is Deathmaw a confirmed MIA that has resurfaced on the PTR?

I could have swore I heard someone say they found him on live, old color but still in. but from these last posts im beginning to think he may be a current MIA and i need to add him to my list. oO

Even if he's MIA on live, he's returned on the PTR meaning he'll return live, so in either case it's really just a matter of splitting hairs. And honestly with how frequently people visit archaeology spots due to flying -and- the fact that bit of land is possibly phased so it could also affect seeing Deathmaw or not -and- people questing there too, he could be live and you just never get the chance to see him.

I mean Death howl[if I named it right] spawns almost ontop of a bloody arch site herself, and I've tripped over the white worg like 3 times arch spamming on Yas.

No one's seen his corpse on live either. He does not appear to be up.

I tamed Deathmaw years ago. Took forever. He's my oldest and favorite pet. I DO NOT want him to change color.

Wasn't Deathmaw at one point the only wolf that color changed between black and brown/red and the worg pup used to change as well before they made him just black?

I thought that was the BRS ones or am I getting confused?

You are correct. Those are the wolves that used to change between this color and the black.

yeah I wasn't sure, I've had enough hunters at enough times that I can't keep straight what pets I've had.
