Welp, got home from work and logged in just in time to be ready to check his 12hr mark. Who do I see on my first flyby of the day? Red Madexx. None of my hunter friends were on that wanted him, so I had Airwyn hop over Horde-side to see if a certain hunter that we saw regularly was online. He wasnt. But she found an Orc hunter who was interested. Gets kinda funny..

At this point, I have Madexx tagged/trapped, waiting for Airwyn to get back to find out if I need to start whispering 85 hunters. She still wasn't back, when an Orc hunter flies overhead.. stops.. targets and looks at Madexx for about 30sec.. I wave to them to let them know its all theirs. But they fly down, and start attacking it (only one or two hits, but I started to freak and emoted to them /no /beg). Confused, I emote them again with /point Orc.. /point Madexx.. /pet Madexx.. trying to let them know I want them to tame it, not kill it. Airwyn logs back over and wants to know the situation, and I ask her if she whispered a hunter named Kyrene, she says yes. So I asked her if they were wanted to tame it, and Airwyn says that they thought they were too late.. not knowing I was only there to help, they thought I was trying to tame it.. lol.

So I log over and tell them its all theirs, I was working with Airwyn to get some over to tame it. She told me she was trying to keep her kids under control, but finally they get their new red scorpid, and we share a laugh at the situation. I asked them to wait while I logged back over for a screenshot. They were grateful for our help

That was great I wondered what the heck she meant when she said someone else had already gotten it. I was like there's no way he would tell me to go ask a horde hunter and then get an alliance one. You never told me what spawn point you were at so when I logged back to my hunter and hit up Uldum I had to fly to all the different points but found ya. I've never gotten the chance to gift someone a pet and I thought this was pretty cool Especially a pet like Madexx which is hard to get and a pretty color to boot! Lol it must've been nuts on your end when I was away lol! Good luck on getting your green Madexx!

Yep, I was pretty nervous of what was going on. lol, didnt want her to get killed or anything. Was a good time!

This is some streak I'm having. No green, but found another Madexx. Just as I suspected, within an hour after the 12hr mark. Had a heck of a time finding a fellow rare hunter, but eventually got someone interested to come tame it. Rawr.

Oh that sucks! I'm glad someone got it but you would figure Madexx would get tired of being red by now I really hope you get your green one soon!

The streak continues. Black Madexx spotted minutes before the 14hr mark. Airwyn and I got him a new home.

Just noticed this, its kinda funny: So far there has been 3 Black Madexx, 3 Blue Madexx, and 4 Red Madexx. He seems to have to spawn at least 2 or 3 times before he switches colors

Blue madexx, NW spawn, 5:25am. Few minutes past the 11hr respawn. Fortunately got it to my hunter friend whos been up late camping him. Funny thing is, he had just hearthed to SW not but 5min prior to me finding him lol. Grats on him finally getting a Madexx!

Then he tells me he was thinking of going after Grunter next. I figure, what the heck, I'll go take a peak.. only seen him once in 6yrs but maybe I'll see him twice in 2 days. Sure enough, hes there lol. Grats on your two new friends sir.

Black Madexx, SW corner, 5:25pm.. exactly 12hr respawn time from previous sighting. Given to my hunter friend Baroce whom I recently met during our Madexx camping. Grats! We also had fun with our pets afterwards By the way, pretty sure I've solved the Madexx mystery. Once I find my green I'll gather all my info and post it for everyone. Heres some pics during my recent Madexx give-away:

Blue Madexx, Middle, 5:45am. First person I send a tell to was actually looking to get a blue Madexx at some point. Success!

Teevvo, can I has your luck? Just make it happen on Karoma please. Also, tamed Jadefang yesterday! Got both Pet and vanity-pet ;D Found randomly both times!

EDIT: Just got Sambas! Anyone know if Karoma and Sambas share spawn timer?

One of my new hunter friends (if you're familiar with my posts, I got him Arcturis not too long ago) spotted Jadefang while mining. He told us in our Petopians channel if any of us wanted him, he was up.. he couldnt get to him because he never did the quests to open up the dailies. Well I did want a companion Jade still, but he found her.. I was gonna see if I could bump him up there with me (wasn't sure if it worked for anyone other than me). So I met up with him in the cave, and we gave it a shot. Set down a bomb... ***BOOM*** Uh oh. I made the jump, but Ken got knocked way off course, lol. Lets try that again! ***BOOM*** There we go! Few seconds later, Ken caught his very own Jadefang.
Later on, I hopped on my paly to do my occassional Storm Peaks route of a quick TLPD search.. which also involves keeping an eye out for Skoll to let other hunters know if he was up. Low and behold, Skoll is up (I cant keep track of how many times I've seen him while on my paly lol). So I do a /who for any 85 hunters and start from the top of the list. First gal I whispered does indeed enjoy finding rare pets, so I invite her to group and wait while she leaves TH, ports to SW, waits for the boat, misses the boat, waits for the boat, and flies over to the east spawn point. Despite the long wait, she was fortunate not many people were in the Storm Peaks this early afternoon. Moments later, Avalyn got a new pretty spirit cat to take home

Airwyn got me my Jadefang companion! Thanks for checking to see if he was up while I was camping Madexx

My Jadefang is absent cause hes in the stables resting atm, but heres a screenie to hold over til I go wake him up to play..

No prob I was actually surprised that he was up lol Eagle Eye works like a charm for checking the cave. Good luck on getting your Green Madexx!

Oh, well this is neat. I'm one of the hunters you helped! I'm the blue Madexx lover, Jaqulyn. I was just coming here to post my first story (about this event in fact!)

You see, I'd been looking for Madexx (Blue or Black were my two top picks) on and off since I hit 85, but without any luck. I'd not even found a dead body.

I'd just done a pass-over his spawns 10 minutes before you found him (I know for a fact, because I had 5 minutes left on my hearth). I was chillin' looking for Zaricotl and watching TV. I thought you'd found him, or maybe Broken Tooth.

I want to say thank you again. I've had bad luck in the past with taming rare-often camped mobs (including someone demanding I pay them 1k gold for Skoll or they were going to kill him after I asked in general if anyone had seen him recently- and having them follow me around for 3 hours...) It's really awesome to find someone who's goes beyond to help others.

Madexx doesn't have a name yet (I'm thinking Snaps, but I'm not 100% sure yet- seems to obvious), but he's in the top five along side Rosco (Sambis) Hollow (BC Ghost Wolf) Wattson (Skoll) and Quills (Chromaggus, who is sometimes interchanged with my Jadefang who's also currently nameless). He's my go-to dude for PVP vs. weapon totting horde!

Let me know when you get your Green?

Got him But hes getting his own thread for his story, its a crazy ending to a crazy adventure! lol. And you are very welcome Jaq, it makes me happy to help other rare hunters out cause I know what people go through to try and get their prized pets.
