Worked on leveling my Thyla today. Took him out escorted by my two wolves for protection. I forget what level I ended at for the night. The game started getting really choppy faster than normal and I don't know why. I hadn't even been on for two hours.. so I logged and tried Zed's Rag server.

Where I started on Rag has very little trees for thatch. I like that there are sticks you can pick up, but thatch to start with is what is really needed. There's some driftwood along the shore but it really does not respawn very fast. Didn't get much done because I was being harassed by a level 50 Dilo, who I eventually did kill... with time. Tamed a Parasaur because, why not? I need something to help.

There's a pretty little river to the west of me.. I think. There's a bridge and then a beautiful stone waterfall with an alcove of trees nearby populated with Ovis. I didn't stick around long as I saw the head of an Allo pop over the ridge nearby.

I built a ramp and put my Parasaur on my roof, then destroyed the bottom ramp so nothing can run up it to him. Only thing that will get him up there is a big predator... or something that destroys the Thatch house to get to him. >>;

We finally got our ragnarok dedicated server to work.. and been building A LOT... got the worlds ugliest production hall but thats ok. Got the outer walls done today and Tamed 4 dinos.. for some reason i cant seam to get screenshots to work on the dedicated server though...

Finally our game on the dedicated server is coming along - we went with a little different prebuild house this time around.. have not gotten to the interior yet




This storehouse/prodcution hall took sooo much farming to do - but atleast there is something to navigate after in the dark




Got an avatar bird - just named two seats as it has two seats




Aaand got our first griffin..just a normal one.. havent seen any Alpha´s yet.. took a while to find one the right level and these guys are not easy to hit even with the super tranq riffle. Just named it Hawkeye

I dont know why I do this to myself everytime but Its fun.. just got done(ish) decorating the interior of our house. Sorry about the chatbox.. i dont know how to remove it..

Top floor - bedroom/Bathroom. Had to use s+ walls and fence support to build the bathroom so its not so pretty build but it works.












Second floor - Living room - and yes the fence support thingies stick through the ceeling.. sigh.. but ohh well i can rp pretend it is a part of a wood house












Main floor - kitchen; now with room for guests











Patio - one side hammock other side grill and sofa






Phew Now we got our dedicated server I REALLY hope it will take some time before I have to do this again

Ok, little PO'd.

So, I had a raptor that I let Aleu have when they started. I had it lined up with the rest of my Raptors. When we disbanded Petopia, I knew it'd start the unclaim counter. Well, I forgot to log in earlier yesterday and completely forgot about it until I was about to log off. It was gone.

Seriously... how rude. It's obvious my dinos and base weren't timing out. It was in line with my other Raptors. They had to have known it was close on time, because I remember it not being there when I logged in. I only logged in, at max, 2 hours after it unclaimed.

I'll have to ask when I log in who took it and see if they'll return it.

Reinstalled ARK last night, got the mod that was needed.
Install time was about an hour, log in time with the mod was about 30 minutes... Proceeded to crash due to an error as soon as I clicked Options so I could try to turn things down. Tried to go to Options at the Title screen and same thing happened.

Proceeded to Uninstall the game again.

I'll try again later once I have a bit more patience on me. Rofl. Yesterday was just not my day.

Yeah.. I'm in a real "fuck today" mood already. First the Raptor thing. Second, see FR Rant Thread. Now.. take over an hour to update and log into ARK for like 2 minutes. Find out they reset levels again and DELETED ALL CRAFTED ITEMS AND BP. Yes.. they REMOVED ALL OF YOUR STORED CRAFTED ITEMS (sparkpowder, salt, etc) and ALL BLUE PRINTS. I had two storage cases FULL of BP. I didn't even get to check my BP, because I managed to run up and check my Salt cabinet to find it empty and then the game DC'd and the server is down. It looked like I still had armor on, atleast when I hit I to see the levels reset I still had a Chitin glove on. So I didn't get to see the rest of the damage.

My Smokehouse had been running for I don't know how long without Sparkpowder, so I can imagine how many crops expired in the process. The Lamb Chops were gone but my Jerky wasn't. So I lost my Lamb Chops and lots of crops that Potato gave me to craft Kibble. But I won't be able to craft Kibble because I probably lost the stupid note you NEED to make it.

I'm just done. I'm done with today. I'm done with people. I don't even know if I want to go play Magic tonight and I haven't gone in weeks because of my surgery. I want to put a fist through a wall.

Ok.. seems it was just a bug, but the way Levy said it I thought it was intended. Server died too fast to really discuss it. It came back up and everything was fixed, then right back down again. I need to get ready to go play Magic now.

It was a bug it seems and they rolled back the server right before I left. The stuff was back. Just was not in a good mood then that all happened so quickly.

So uh... my character is severally bugged. Maybe because I was logged in earlier during all the bugs?

So.. I'm level 82 with all my points assigned in stats (350HP, etc), but all my engram points are gone. I have 0. Only problem is... I have no engrams learned. (I do actually HAVE the engrams I previously learned in my crafting tab, but on the engrams page where you learn them it shows them all as unlearned and 0 points to spend. I didn't spend all of my points and had like 700 yet to spend.) Sooooo.... yeah. Maybe when I level it will fix itself? =/

Apparently dinos are randomly despawning, including ones you're taming/just tamed. Potato claimed a bunch of dinos from a Tribe that went unclaimed due to the timer.. they're all gone because of the rollback. He claimed them before the roll back, but they all vanished and their base is empty.

They really, REALLY, screwed things up.

I see this is on sale on Steam atm is it worth it at this point or should I wait?

I logged in tonight to see my character WAY outside my house and level 1. She used to be level 80. I didn't even look to see if all my dinos are still there. Lot of my stores are actually missing. Stuff that was on my toolbar are gone. A weird glitch is I'm also missing two beds. They're just simply not there anymore. Everything I had has been there long before any patches so there is zero reason for anything to have been missing.

Cow - I would say definitely pick it up if it's on sale. Maybe wait till the bugs are sorted this weekend before installing & trying to play. Steam has an amazing return policy if the game ends up not being your cup of tea.

Man i feel for you guys. Since we started our own dedicated server we hae a litle lag but else no bugs.... ive taken a few days off from gameing to focus on some i l stuff but i hope to play in the weekend.
Cowmu i would defo bye it on sale...else its too expensive.

Zed - They gave everyone a free mindwipe to respec. That's why you were level 1, or atleast, should be the reason you were level 1 again. You should get back up to 80 once you set all your points again.

It seems that a lot of people got screwed out of their mind wipe though because they logged in during the bug earlier and then when they rolled the servers back... they didn't get their mind wipe back. Like me. Except.. not only did I not get to reset my points.. I'm now stuck missing thousands of Engram points. I was just reading the forums and people are saying killing yourself or fast traveling should fix the bug I have, but it's not working for everyone. I'll have to try it tomorrow as I've logged out for the night. I really wish they'd test their updates BEFORE releasing them for the players to test for them. I'd have no problem with it if they weren't so "nope, we won't replace the dino that you lost because of our terrible coding/bug we put in the game".

The new fix to the crafting speed is very interesting!!
