Your new leader-guy was coming in soon, wasn't he? How about we bring them in as part of a bodyguard contingent, or something? That would work for me, anyway. I'll be going to sleep in about two hours though, so...

Aye, I was going to wait until we met up with the leaders before introducing my new cultist.
Was also thinking of roleplaying a random band of blackrock orcs for some conflict in the Burning steppes, when the main group gets to it anyway.

Could Korwen (my rogue) join your blackrock orcs? He's big for randomly attacking Decay's group with random people who die horribly.

Go for it :D
Anyone is pretty much free to pick up a random Blackrock orc/other NPC to help with the attack, should the desire take them. :P

What a conicedence. My undead hunter is just starting to level in burning steppes, I wouldn't mind roleplaying her just for like a visit, she is also a stable master for aa bunch of undead horses, im sure she wouldn't mind letting our protantgonists use them in the meantime, im not going to be roleplaying her the whole time there though seeing how I never signed her up for the main roleplay

So the new cultists.. would they just stick around with your new guy? or are they joining the other cultists soon, its very tempting to create a new one, but im just wondering just in case

I'm toying with the idea of creating a true cultist myself as Rose is just sort of there.

Batlek is going to be a main antagonist and will be moving about a lot, and I hope he'll run into the adventurers a few times - so really, that's where everything fun will be happening. Faron will be following Bat, I know.

Also, I think I'm going to run the idea behind Bat's plan by you guys. It makes sense in my head but I want you guys to know what the deal is. xD
All okay with this? If so I'll post the idea.

Sounds good.

Also, been contemplating scrapping Valnara (in game) in place of the troll warlock I'm thinking about bringing in here.

Let's hear this plan of your then, boss!

The reinfusion, is it giving them more powers, or renewing something that's going away?

Reinfusion is just giving a beast more power, typically of the same sort. Their body has regulated it enough. It doesn't typically last long and they only keep that new power long enough to regulate it, or else they'd probably just go insane. Despite a bond, it's too much power in one beast.

Anyway! The plan.

So, the magic regulation thing comes into play here. If the elemental power is removed from the beasts and transferred into a humanoid, the magic is in a nice, clean, easy to manage for already, and the humanoid can use it and contain more of it more easily. It'd basically create Ascendents, without the need of long-time service, the favor of Deathwing, and all that. (They'd be realistic ascendents, too. Not the crappy ones in game that are just regular mobs. Actually powerful.) They'd be pretty strong, even compared to Ascendents, if they got quite a few beasts worth of power in them.
The beasts without power would just be beasts again - they wouldn't be almost killed like humanoid would be. I imagine that taking the power from a humanoid would be like pulling the power from every single vein, where as beasts would have the power taken from a single point in their body, which is a lot less detrimental to the body. They'd be beasts again. Bonds will stay.

Of course, it's a lot of power and they'll be a bit unstable physically and most likely mentally.

Hmm, that actually sounds like a good plan, and something the cultists would do. Sure, I may disagree a bit on how I think magic works, but overall, better than I expected.

Also, Decay-elementalbeast. :D

So, in a nutshell, the cultists are using animals to distill raw power into a much more managable form, then using the same power to create ascendants? I can roll with that.

This could be interesting for poor Swift then. D:

Only if Swift gets reinfused. That's how I read it anyway.

Yeah, only if they get Reinfused - so swift is safe! Sorry if I didn't make that clear. >.<
Yay, I'm glad I've impressed Saturo! Yeah, magic can be interpreted in a million different ways... I have a strange way of seeing it.
