Popping on to Facebook once a year to announce that it's your birthday isn't going to suddenly make people care any more. You're still the most disgusting, hateful, using bitch I've ever seen.
I think now might be a good time for a Facebook friend clearout...

Either that, or liberal application of the hide option if you're worried about drama blowout over friend removal (some people don't handle it well).
Also I am worried about ruining my yarn since I had to undo the knitting project a couple of times, bah.

Ugh, yeah, re: facebrick. I had a terrifying amount of sudden and drastic drama happen when I unfollowed a -tumblr- friend (because I got tired of her incessant depressing/horrible posts, tbh), and she immediately called me a racist (uh, what?) and a long list of other things and ragestomped off after kicking my alts from her guild and severing all ties.
I like using social media sometimes to keep tabs on what's going on but JFC why do people take it so -seriously-?

Probably the social part. People take it as seriously as any other friendship or social business, online or off. Our brains do register rejection the same way as they do pain and loneliness. Some people just really don't handle this well at all. People move on, people change, people trim down their online times and some folks have a hard time grasping that. Either that, or it really is painful to admit that one is toxic and people need to leave for their own sake.
I know when my depression gets super, super bad a lot of people stop talking to me. It hurts, but I can also understand why.

So there is this thing going around social media's now about whether is it abusive or not to pierce a babies ears...there's petitions and pushes to put an age restriction on piercings, because many people feel that it should be the individuals choice on whether they get pierced or not...
I see the point from both sides of the debate, and both have valid reasons for being pro or con...but what worries me most is the bigger picture. At what point do we draw the line between a parents rights for their children and the mass micro-management of those who are not the child's parents. With the amount of things that people are so opinionated about, I can't help but wonder, in 5-10 years, if I will even be allowed to hug my children, or if that to will be deemed "inappropriate" or "abusive".

Personally have never liked babies with pierced ears as it just seems wrong to me but I wouldn't tell someone not to do it to their kids.

tbh my aunt pierced her kid's ears when he was a baby
he grew up, didn't like them, and she let the holes heal over and didn't make a fuss about it
depending on how old the child is, they won't even remember getting their ears pierced and it's not like it's a life-long commitment, the hole heal over and do so relatively fast. I mean, I understand pros and cons to it, but why make such a fuss.....
my rant, I've been feeling shitty and sick the entire day and I'm tbh tired of it
I hate feeling nauseous 98% of the time I'm conscious

I know this feel, considering I just had to cut a 'friend' out of my life which I've wanted to do for 2/3 years now. She was just getting so, well, toxic as you say. And I did it in probably the worst way possible and she really freaked out about it, shouted at me for it, which I feel I kind of deserved, but... at least she doesn't want anything to do with me now... I guess that's a good thing? :/

I broke my 3DS XL screen T.T
I take my system with me wherever I go...today if fell on the floor in the grocery store, I didn't think much of it since I've dropped it a few times before. That was this morning...and just now I opened it up to see if I had recieved anything interesting from the spotpass...and the top of the screen has a blacked out semi-circle of darkness, with some spider lines coming off it to a solid inch of dark stripe along the right side... *SOB*
It's funny, I've had Gameboys and DS's for years and never broke one ever...but I finally get a blue one and now it's broken...FML!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sooo.....I guess I am saving up for a replacement, there goes all my summer spending money.

Depends on how many items you had out and how long they were overdue. It adds up real quick. Here, books are .20 cents a day, DVD's are $1.25 per day. Maximum dvds you can check out is 5. Maximum books is 25.
Say you have 5 dvds out and they're overdue by two days....That's $12.50 right there easy.
Now say you have 5 books out and they're overdue by a week. That totals to about $1.40 per book. So for 5 books....That's $7.10.
If you wait too long to pay it, it gets sent to collections...which is another $10 fee.
So yeah, it adds up very quickly. The more items you have overdue, the worse it becomes. If you lose an item, you will get charged for the price of that item PLUS a $5.00 processing fee.
I work at the library so I've kinda got the gist of how they work with fines and fees. I'm not sure if it's the same for all libraries, but that's how it generally is for the one I work at. I hope that helps a little to know some of the back end stuff!

I lost my dog last night. She got loose and ended up getting hit by a car. The rant is the person didn't stop. Never slowed down and never even bothered to see what happened. When did a thing like common courtesy die? Filed a police report but there is nothing they an do unless the person grows a spin and owns up to wait he did. Dog getting lose was an accident on everyone's part but its no one fault either.

I think I had 4? and it was like 60 cents a day. I'm sure it was cheaper last year. Like way way cheaper.

That feeling when you make what you think is an innocuous comment on someone's facebook picture and they take it way off in some freaky wrong direction and interpret it as some kind of personal attack and you're all like '...dude, what, why are you so pissed' and they rage at you about being condescending and a bunch of stuff you didn't even say.
I think I unintentionally poked someone's hot button and I didn't even know they HAD a hot button. And now they're irrationally enraged at me, and I suspect anything I say, no matter how placating, is just going to make it worse. Because I'm "being condescending". It's like stepping on a land mine, istg.

Never have I felt so hurt, by people I don't even know. Even though what they said was online...I still feel like breaking down.
My so called friend invited me to a Skype call. Little did I know, apparently i was supposed to be a bot and 'not be here'. When I had asked in chat "Hey, who are these people?" I was spammed with "OH HEY NORA, ARE YOU A GIRL. HEIGHT/WEIGHT. ARE YOU HOT OR HIDEOUS." What the hell? I asked them why they were being creepy, because obviously to some people that would be kind of creepy...the response..it just hurt...so badly.
"Let's face it, Nora. You're probably ugly as Mudkipz, aren't you? You're probably a fat, hideous mess that was just spawned in a cave and left to rot, sadly you seem to be alive, so. Hey, <so-called friends name>, why'd you invite this disgusting thing? how the hell did you deal with this LOL."
...Why? That response was not relevant, I didn't insult them, provoke them, anything....why....I've never felt such pain, aside from what I had to go through in public school..
Why are some people so cruel................*Curls up and sobs furiously*
