Okay, since it's drawing close, I'd like to let the guild know that from 2/2 to 2/9 (for safety's sake, let's say 2/10 since weather happens) I'll be on vacation. Ketch and I are Florida bound. A week of sun, sand, fruity drinks with little umbrellas, and relaxation.

And a week with no guild, no WoW. Withdrawal, yeah, I've had it. Last time I was seeing spirit beasts in the clouds. Will miss you guys though.

Not that I am not impressed by the ingenuity here, I really don't want to see my vacation location blown to smithereens. Least not before I get there. Nor while my mother-in-law is there either.

'Sides, Naples, Florida isn't really geezer central. It's more ritzy feeling. Though a drug store on every fourth intersection gives something away...but it's got fancy hotels, pretty gated communities, sushi restaurants, the best rib joint I have ever encountered, gelato, and a place called Cheeburger Cheeburger, where they have burgers in a 50's style diner locale. Yeah, I save my calorie points for this place.

But beyond the food, there's some great beaches and kayaking in the 'Glades. Though only did that once. Before I married Ketch, I'd gone down to FL without him, along with my mother. Ketch wasn't able to come along as he had a new job and couldn't take the time off. I was taken kayaking in the glades and to get to the river, we had to scoot the boats under a highway bridge. It had maybe three feet of clearance, so you had to paddle and duck low to the boat. Which was easy enough.

But the underside of the bridge was spider central! Webs everywhere. *cringes at the memory* So it was paddle hard and hope to make it through in one go. And on the way back, in the pond just before that bridge, gators. Lots of them. All of which dove for the water as soon as we came into view. We laugh about this now and mom-in-law says she was giving me one last test.

Oh I can't wait for my vacation. *makes grabby hands at map of Florida*

Be sure to bring Jasper with you; I'm sure he'll be happy for the extra fish!

I'm now imagining what it would take to get a ten foot dragon-lizard through TSA security.

TSA Guy "Miss, what is...this?"
Me (sporting really dark glasses for the ruse): "Uh, Seeing Eye Dragon. Newest thing out of...Japan."
TSA Guy eyes the ten foot dragon thing warily as Jasper grins at him.
Me: "Oh, does this terminal still have that Legal Seafood Restaurant?"
